Dude it's CLASSIC Vikings.

They always squander opportunities or get blown out in the big game (see 1998 NFC Champ. against Falcons or 2000 NFC Champ. against Giants).

fortunately, the exact opposite of football is on: The Notebook 👍😛

What a terrible mistake by Favre. That's the risk you run with Favre as your QB.

Overtime. The way these offenses go, it feels like coinflip probably wins it.

this game is crazy, how many fumbles/int's have there been?!

THERE'S the real Favre.

The Interception King STRIKES AGAIN!!!

😆

you guys are making it really hard for me to stick to my 'no watching football this season' resolution . . . maybe ill just watch the end

this game is crazy, how many fumbles/int's have there been?!

A zillion.

It sure seems like the Colts would be able to capitalize on either of these two teams' sloppiness.

Lame, I would have gone 7-2 in fantasy this week if I hadn't missed out on my players playing Monday afternoon :lame: I guess 6-3 will have to do.

My basketball team is always terrible but I still watch NBA games.

well it was also my last semester of grad school and i was a little worried about not finishing . . . so i took their preseason suckyness as a sign from God that i should just blow it all off this year 🙂 overall i think it was a good decision. but i'll be back on the wagon come fall

*sigh* NFL overtime👎.

They showed some interesting statistics at the beginning of this overtime. I think it was for all overtime games played in the NFL this year. One of them said that teams who got the ball first were 7-6. That makes the overtime rules in general seem pretty fair to me. It's not perfect, but I don't know of anything better.

THE SAINTS ARE IN THE SUPERBOWL!!!!

Hell may actually freeze over this year.

College OT.

It's not perfect, but I don't know of anything better.

The above quoted is the answer to the question.

College OT.

College OT sucks. It totally eliminates the special teams aspect of the game.

And don't complain about losing the coin toss. The defense has a chance to make a stop.

If you can't get a stop on defense when you must, you don't deserve to win the game.

And somewhere in Wisconsin, Ted Thompson and Aaron Rodgers are smiling...

Are you flipping kidding me?

This has to be the 4th most fallacious statement I've ever read on SDN. Please, go watch some college football OT games and get back to me. Kay, thanks.

Great game... way too many turnovers by the Vikings though. Last time Favre's last pass of the season was an interception, he returned to play. What are the odds he'll be back in purple this fall? :meanie:

dont think hell be back, but man the vikings really ****ed up and GAVE the game away to saints. Good for the saints but they didnt win the game or deserve to win it. Min dominated them in the 2nd half but 6 fumbles and that int was just unacceptable. The vikings just pulled a SD chargers and had an all time choke job.

still though both games were pretty good which was great to see. Cant wait to see peyton get his 2nd ring and validate the fact hes probably in the top 3 best Qbs of all time 🙂. Though if the saints win...i wouldnt be too upset since i do love underdogs and i think franchises that have been utterly pathetic for so long deserve it too.

Honestly college and pro OT both suck. They should really just play an entire 5th period (or maybe a shortened period?). But the 1st one to score set-up in the NFL is just lame👎.

I don't understand why you disagree.

No punting, no kickoff, NO FIELD POSITION BATTLE.

That's a huge part of the game, totally gone.

They should at least give the other team a chance to tie, IMO. I would design it similar to college OT except with a kickoff instead of starting from the 35-yard line or wherever it is. If I was a gambler, my money would be on Favre coming back next year.

So I was teaching all through the game. I was only supposed to give them a 5-10 minute break. But they got a 30 minute break to watch the end of the game. I didn't finish all I was supposed to lecture on, but I don't really care, it's horrible to expect them to not watch the game.

Plus, now I'm the cool teacher. 🙂

Whatever, college OT is still lots better than NFL OT, which totally sucks.

:corny:

. . . ok actually the notebook is almost over so this is what i really look like:

100%

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Favre's going to go out like Jerry Rice, sticking around too long until he is just no longer good. And it will be sad.

Unfortunately, I do think that the Colts won't make the same mistakes the Vikings made. That will make it hard on the Saints.

I can understand why they don't just do an entire 5th period in the regular season (just too much of a grind in an already violent sport. But I say do it in the playoffs at least.

Shouldn't you care more about being the GOOD teacher instead of the COOL one? :meanie:

Seriously, I'd probably have done the same thing. Cmon, ksmi, you can't tell me you're not a LITTLE bit excited about pro football right now, right? 😛
