Class of 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Woo. 30 minutes on elliptical. Nothing spectacular. I could have kept going but my stupid ankle is acting up still. I think it's going to be chronic pain for a few weeks/months since it's building these muscles back for the first time since '07.

So I boiled a some eggs and have been eating them for breakfast/as a snack, and it was one of the best ideas I've ever had!

That is a good idea, I should do that. I think I'll save some of my eggs to coat the chicken I'm going to buy soon. One of my food goals is to actually make my own chicken. I can buy the chicken, bread it and bake it, basting it with some kind of sauce during the process.

I need to actually learn to cook more stuff before med school, so I need to try now. I'm also going to try and cook some steak without a grill - pan sear and oven.

I'd love to get down with some fantasy baseball!

JJ, i'm bout to put down $100 on phillies winning..... the NL this year

I dunno man, way too early to call. I can see them maybe not even winning their division. Besides, I'm hoping for a certain NL west team to get to the world series this year. :xf::xf::xf: 🙄

Really??? People don't know how to say your last name??? That boggles my mind. But I guess I'm used to the Cajun names. I'm not surprised they couldn't pronounce your first name though. Not very common around these parts.

I have no idea how to say her last name.

blue and d dub disappeared at the same time, they hookin up or something?

i think we can just assume this is the case until one of them comes in here and tells us differently

Close. Chah-pit-oo-las

Haha, well I say that wrong on purpose so maybe I wouldn't notice it.
Haha Georgia doesn't have any cool ones but we do like to say "Ponce de Leon" as one word..

It seems we are all off to bed.
See you tomorrow. Hopefully I will have a true blue email on my hands by the time I come back here.

Thanks JJ! I'll get cracking. I just had a two hour epic, Beowulf/Lord of the Rings/World War II/Armageddon style battle with a lizard, and I am now exhausted and going to bed. 😴

Night guys.

Hey everyone! :hello:

Just got done celebrating the OU victory!!! I drank wayyy too much wayyy too fast. Wow. Dude D-Nels was so sicky, 36 points is so legit. He scored 36 points and he can't even make a free throw... thats my boy! I love it. Get us some national recognition!!!

WE DANCIN!!!!!

WE IN THE BRACKET!! WE DANCIN!!!!!

Dawg like I'm in jubilation.

The coolest part is I've partied with the basketball team and their all pretty chill guys (except for Will Hudson, he's a wigger). But like I've smoked hooka with Maynard and Ilya and like JJ, Eackles, Hamilton, Valentine, and a couple others I've seen at just random parties and like me being my drunken self have just gone up to them and given them hugs and stuff. One of the older basketball players was in one of my classes and we would just sit and check out girls. They are like some of the more outgoing and social athletes. Their all cool guys too (except for Will Hudson and Maynard can be a d-bag at times as well). I dunno man, I'm just so happy for them because they have worked hard, especially JJ. I hope OU gets some recognition as well.

Too bad yall will probably get knocked out in the first round. Obviously it depends on the matchup, though.

I mean realistically there's an opportunity that we will get blown out. However, I don't think we'll be a 16th seed because we are a lot better than like Siena and East Tennesse State etc. If we're a 14th seed we have a legitimate opportunity in my opinion. Honestly, I would love it if we were matched up with Michigan State and we beat them. I couldn't imagine a better situation than that.

Brooklyn I told you we had a chance man. And we blew out IUPUI. Damn, this is huge for a school without a football team. Hopefully now we will be able to afford to build parking lots so that I don't have to park half an hour away from class. If we get out of the first round I would die. I seriously don't know what I would do. I would end up in an Emergency Department from alcohol poisoning for sure.

yea i watched the game, the line was -1 in favor of IUPUI and you guys blew them out. that one dude can play. the game did get sloppy though

as far as bracketology, the match ups rarely happen that way. nova seems like a bad match up but if you guys get kansas state, purdue or tennessee it could be closer than people expect

K-State's only a 3 if they lose their first conference tourney game.

Anything could happen to Purdue without Hummel. I wouldn't be shocked if they lost first round without him as a 3 or 4 seed.

wtf

The WNBA's Tulsa Shock will hold a news conference Wednesday at 11 a.m. ET to announce the signing of former track star Marion Jones.
Jones worked out for Shock coach Nolan Richardson last Saturday.
Jones was stripped of five medals she won in the 2000 Summer Olympics after she admitted to using performance-enhancing drugs prior to the Summer Games.
She was given a six-month prison sentence after she admitted lying to federal prosecutors.
Now, at age 34 and after giving birth to her third child just eight months ago, Jones is attempting an athletic comeback -- this time in basketball.
Jones has not played basketball since leaving North Carolina in 1997, choosing instead to concentrate on her track career. But as a freshman point guard with the Tar Heels, she helped UNC win a national title in 1994.
Jones was drafted by the Phoenix Mercury in 2003.

Why not, right? But that's weird.

Tulsa Shock??? 😕 I thought it was Detroit Shock?

You both hit the nail on the coffin.

I just want to throw in that this year there are no untouchables. Everyone has shown weaknesses and the field seems very evenly rounded. I have a feeling there will be tons of upsets this year and you guys kind've stated that.

As far as OU's team goes. We have one of the most solid big men in the game who held Kansas' Cole Aldrich to 4 points. We have a tenured senior point guard who is poised and clutch and can take over games. We have a solid group of role players who can hit the three as well as get inside for some points. We have decent depth with a solid backup point-guard and two decent backup big men one of which can hit the three. As a team, I feel we are very well rounded. An example would be that Blake Cushingberry took over the Summit League semifinal while Derrick Nelson completely dominated IUPUI in the championship game. Any player can step up and although at times they are sloppy they seem to always have the ability to make up for it with clutch plays and good defense especially in the paint.

That analysis is just to show that we have a solid base of players who can compete and put up a fight against a higher ranked team that may not be as well rounded. i.e. teams that depend on a few all-star players. Purdue is vulnerable and even Villanova has it's fair share of poor-performances. Kansas St. is also susceptible to not showing up.

We sold 'em. They weren't getting any fans. Literally, I saw one of the players at the mall and she was giving tickets away for free. You could also get a voucher and get free tickets from Wendy's.

Marion Jones took roids. She is also really fast. Either way, you and I could both dominate the WNBA.
