Umm, excuse me. I'm the one who lives here!! The first time I tried jungle juice was @ U of M! I have met like 1/3 of the athletes there! Just putting it out there.

I don't know. They don't any set method of doing anything, so I'm just on their hook until either they call to accept me or I start med school somewhere else. Well, I guess they could waitlist me at the end of April.

thats crazyyy when did you interview? you can still get in before april right? dont lose hope im also anxiously waiting n its driving me insane..

I'd actually like to pick your brain if that's ok... Do you know anything about Green Brier Apartments? I was there today and really liked it. I'm considering signing a lease if nothing turns up tomorrow. The places we'll be looking at tomorrow are Shoreview, Traver Knoll, the Highlands, and Huron Tower. Let me know if you have any opinions on the matter, I would value them greatly! 👍

Hmm, we are considering that down the road. I'd really be more comfortable with it if I knew the area better, I don't think we're quite ready to commit that much yet though. :scared:

Ann Arbor is ridiculously expensive. Overpriced at that because the houses get good rent from students.

I know you all think Michigan is a complete poophole, but there are houses 20 minutes away from Detroit being sold for a couple million dollars. There's a lot of land across from my house being sold for 3 million. The majority of Michigan is pretty nice; there's just some really really really bad spots and a lot of debt.

I interviewed in the middle of September. The world was so different back then... 🙄

If I don't get called by the end of April then I'll start getting pessimistic.

Buying in Ann Arbor is impossible. Metro Detroit, I can show you some places. An amazing and stalkery real estate site is called zillow.com if you really want to see how much property is going for in Michigan.

whoaaa whats taking them so long, have you tried sending LOI's or contacting them for status update? or are they known to take that long for everyone 😕
 
are green brier apartments on greene street? if they are then they are really really nice and the only apts on greene street.

Zaragon are really nice but really expensive.

the highlands have a good rep too.

everything else my friends need to know location to tell you about.

yeah the apartments on greene street are right by my friend's house and he's saying there really nice and really new.

edit: I don't think the apt's on greene street are the Green Brier ones. Green Brier seems really far from Campus and Greene street is by the football stadium i.e. why my friends live there (because they are athletes). But the ones they are recommending are the apartments on greene street, they are saying those are some of the best apts in A squared.

Thanks for your help! Yeah, Green Brier is on Green St. (without an e), it's out there a ways, like a 20 min. bus ride from the medical center, which is the downside.

Huron Towers is on Fuller Court, and it's really close to the medical school. It's newer, do they know anything about it? I'll be seeing it tomorrow, so it's not a big deal if your friends haven't heard of it. Anyway, thanks again for your help, I really appreciate it! 🙂

I already sent one LOI, sending another one probably tomorrow. They are known to take forever.
