Didn't catch up.. Did I miss anything of importance?

I didn't sleep until 4/5 am.. lol. So much for early bedtime. Also so much for going to class. I stayed at a friends and didn't even get home until like 10 minutes ago.

Getting ready for my dinner with jla and bleargh!

thanks for all the agreement on how ridiculous the west baptist church is, it just really makes me angry how attention-whoring they are. people are still trying to heal and they have to go pull a stunt like this?? there's a ton of opposition though, so hopefully it'll make them back off. people are also planning on doing what U of Illonois did and raising money for charities the wbc opposes, which i think is awesome. i love all those other signs though-"courdoroy skirts are a sin"😛

Hey all. Running out the door to hang out with friends, with it being a Friday and all. It's been a hectic few weeks, I hope everyone is doing well 🙂
 
they gotta let go of that healthcare thing, i'm not for government involvement in anything but it was gonna happen, it happened, move on cuz you are not gonna be able to repeal it, at least not now
 
They cant repeal it because if they did then the govt couldnt force you to have car insurance....


But I dont like it. Not one bit.
 
The doc I shadow said he will write an enthusiastic LOR telling Emory how awesome I am. Yessssssssssssssss!
I am going to meet ksmi in like three weeks! Yay!

I thought the car insurance thing was technically a state requirement, not a federal one. I think there was something shady with the government threatening to withhold public works funding from states that didn't adopt it, though.

I could be completely misremembering that though.

BU is making me wait till first week of April for a desicion. Kinda blows. That and I had to pass meeting up with Sammie and Jla because I am working and have company in town.

Oh BTW, Had a dream last night that I visited Gtown to check it out. The library was weird. haha

Someone was telling me (or maybe I was reading) that they were challenging its constitutionality under the interstate commerce clause.

question: I read somewhere on SDN today that medical schools can "see" what schools you have been accepted to around this time of year. what's the deal with this? can they see just the spots you are holding?

By the AMCAS traffic rules, schools that have accepted you can see what spots you're holding onto from March 15th forward. I think they also say that from May15th, everyone can see everything.

+1 ...and it also sucks that we know our chances are pretty much 50/50, so there's no good guess either way! Were you deferred too? I wonder how large the pool of applicants is at this point.

But having that thought makes me feel guilty for being neurotic. It's a lose-lose

interesting. the May 15th makes sense. Do you know if they can see where you are wait listed as well? Do the traffic rules suggest how many spots one should hold onto?

Well, after May 15th, you're only allowed to hold one (acceptance). After that, anyone can rescind, as I understand it.

boo on BU! lol that's interesting about your georgetown dream. did they actually show you the library on interview day? they didn't show it to us, so i have no idea if it's weird or not!

ugh that week was horrible!! i was convinced i did even worse than the first time because all i could remember when thinking about it were the questions i didn't know. then i clicked on the score site about 1000000 times on score release day haha.
