No suggestions for reading music - I used to know a little bit, but I stopped after I quit taking lessons.

Scales are your best way to improve picking and overall knowledge of the fretboard - learn some. Start with the pentatonic, it's the easiest and most useful early on.

Good luck, man.

I always wanted a job like that, but could never find the time to take the class. It bugged me because I couldn't take it since I worked during the summers, but I knew some people whose parents paid for their entire life, so they could take the class while they did nothing else over the summer and get a cool job while I was stuck at the movie theater. 👎

Yeah, I had to put my time in at a car wash, gym, and dentist office in order to save up. Then I paid for my class, it was under 1k, and took it simultaneously with a full load at my university. That semester was rough and I couldn't find a job for a while. But this interview is huge because it could mean a solid summer job to go with my research.
 
I'm gonna be a lil risky tomorrow, I am gonna go in suit pants, but I'm wearing a polo as my top, so no tie. I don't know if I will regret the lack of tie. I will be clean shaven and fully groomed, i.e. haircut yesterday and cut nails and everything. I wonder how much they actually look into those things for EMS.

You're only 28 posts behind right now. Believe me, you'll catch up. I'm really behind in my studies and my extracurrix are taking over. I have to figure my **** out so I can find a way to shadow some docs this summer while integrating this new job into my schedule. I might have to take a SDN hiatus for a while. Whats crazy though is that I only post in the late hours of the night. You post all day and have been on here way before me.
 
I'll occasionally post around lunch time and then evening on after I get back from classes, but I don't post ALL day. GOSH.

I didn't even post about Michigan State's huge win today lol. They're in the final four and their best player is hurt!!!!!!!! That is clutch.

But yeah, I may over-post at times.

Girls go shoe hunting (shopping) all the time. I've been to the Nine West store with my mom, I know whatsup.
 
There are A LOT of guests on pre-allo right now, and even one looking at this thread. Is our banter really that entertaining? I kind of feel special yet stalked at the same time.

Did you by any chance see the South Park episode where the girls make a list of hottest guys, and the hottest guy is the kid whose father owns a shoe store? It's a great episode.

I'm not gonna lie though, I like going shoe shopping with girls. It's intense.

Another true story. I seem to know a lot of those.

Helping people...it sounds so familiar. I feel like I've heard this somewhere before but I can't quite figure out where. It must have been a nightmare. :shrug:
