Our summer classes start May 3rd... I have finals the week of April 18th, but I only have 2 so I am not counting that week 😛

We started January 4th or something like that. You doing anything cool for SB? And no we are not quarter system (I wish we were though).





Sooo my PI made me drop Cell Biology for the summer to do the research fellowship and I don't plan on taking Cell bio or Micro bio before med-school. Is this something I will regret, or will I be fine? I could sneak them in senior year, but I kinda just wanna chill out and be an ethanol fiend after I get accepted.

I'm going to Richmond for SB to see VCU again.

You may want to take Micro (apparently some med students say seeing it for the first time sucks but I doubt it matters), but a lot of cell bio is covered in Biochem.

I think I might have some developing tendonitis in my left hand... 🙁

I had that happen freshman year in my right hand and I couldn't write for a week - kind of tough when you're in calculus. :laugh:

Okay cool, I'll have 9 credits of BCM by the time I graduate too so I should be fine in that area. I'll take PChem, Analytical and a gen-ed if I need one Fall semester of Senior year and I'll take Pchem II anatomy and micro my winter semester of senior year. That will keep me on scholarship while I enjoy learning. Thanks for the insight!!!!

I enjoyed Micro, but I just generally like that stuff. Most people I know hated it. :laugh:
 
Cell bio is a prereq for a lot of upper-level bio classes at my school, I think. At least it feels that way since it's so useful. I thought biochem and immunology were easier because of it.

Same here. I vowed not to take it, but it ended up screwing me over the last 2 semesters for class selection. The cool classes I could take were very limited and I wasn't going to take it this late since I had gone so far without taking it.

What bugged me was that professors wouldn't let me into their classes w/o Cell Bio when I had proven I can ace upper level bios and had already been accepted to med school. I hate the Bio department - they're a bunch of pretentious douches.

I'll be a senior hopefully accepted into med-school. I will be in the same mindset as my friends, "C's get degrees"

I'm not a bio major so I don't need a lot of upper level bio. Thanks for the advice though.
 
I've been chillin and trying to remember what I have to do each day and actually doing it.

So on Wednesdays, I have two hours for a nap/lunch combo. Today was all nap and no lunch. 🙁 I don't have that luxury tomorrow so I'm leaving at exactly 3 tonight. It WILL happen!
 
This is about the time that Yoda, JJ, and blobby bob usually wander in. Yoda usually talks about his sleep schedule and what he should eat right now. JJ is something about sports. Blobby bob makes some random comment and waits for me to make fun of his blobbiness.
 
Now is about the time I go to sleep.

I have class at 10:30 tomorrow, but I seriously doubt I will wake up in time to go - I'm not setting an alarm. I should make it to my 1:30 class, though.
 
Happy April 1st everyone! Soon enough, it'll be May 1...and then June 1 when Sammich is starting, and all of a sudden Aug 1 when most of us will be getting ready to start.
