I ran across the park this weekend! Okay so it was like 0.1 mile on springy grass <3 but it felt GOOD instead of feeling like death! 😀

If I remember correctly, I think that means you're basically in there. I think they have that list because the class is too full or something already but you will no doubt be accepted when it empties a bit.

In between M1 and M2 (aka..next summer) I know you can chill/work/travel/research/etc as the summer is yours. I think I want to do Research, but I also want to be in my hometown as my sister is about to have a baby, all of my friends/family are here, etc.

Is it common to do research at a different institution that is not your medical school? There is a medical school in my hometown. If I could be home for the summer and also do research at the same time, that would be awesome. Anyone know if this is plausible?

that question came up during one of my interview days. technically, there's nothing against it, but you will run into problems if you try to continue your research into the schoop year, because you wont be able to travel back and forth.
