Tell me about it-I went out to eat...and I mean EAT with my mommy on Sat (alcoholic drinks and giant brownies included) and today was birthday celebration for 3 members of our lab=3 cakes that are too delicious to pass up. I am going to be GIANT by the time I start school.
Btws ksmi...NOLA tix bought, hotel (olde town inn?) reserved....I want to hang out!!! (btws...are you coming for Fri only cause I am flying in on Thurs morning)

This is bad. I'd made peace with the Spurs being hopeless this season a few weeks back. Now they're roping me back in... and the playoffs start during exam week :laugh:

It's called Tiger Twelve. Basically 12 seniors are chosen for their dedication to LSU's Commitment to Community which lists like 7 things that all students who made the commitment should do throughout their time at LSU. So I guess it's the 12 seniors who have had the most impact on improving the campus throughout their time at LSU.

no, i dont think so. the lakers are in a slump but i think if they drown andrew bynum in the pacific and take some time off, they will be back to form.


i honestly think you should look forward to losing early and getting a draft pick and moving either manu or tony. i know there's no way tim duncan is going anywhere but i like the young core of guys in san antonio but they aren't the best young core.

the jazz are getting a top 5-10 pick this year and oklahoma looks solid for the next few years. i think its time to rebuild and plan for the future ala eagles.

esp since i'm sure you have a championship or bust mentality by now

it used to be great. the whole philosophy being the bench will out run you and all, but antonio mcdyess at starting center? i'm the biggest dice fan, i got all his rookie cards, but c'mon

Well sure, the Lakers are still the favorites, no question. But they look beatable, which I don't think you could've said before the All-Star break, when I think I'd have put money on the Lakers if you'd offered me a "Lakers or The Field" bet. Kobe's legitimately hurt (I think I heard he's shooting something like 40% since the all-star break) and their bench is so bad that whenever he and Gasol go to the bench the other team always has a huge advantage on the floor. If the Lakers had a healthy Kobe and a healthy Bynum and a Ron-Ron who didn't think that he's an elite offensive player who needs 15 shots a night, they'd be unstoppable, but they don't. And outside of the Lakers, who really is THAT scary out west?

It all comes down to that whenever Timmy retires, it's officially over on this era. I like our young guys as much as anybody, but none of them are ever gonna be all-stars; that's nothing against them, it's just finding even a solid rotation guy at the end of first round is a steal in itself.

Plus, assuming OKC keeps him, we're heading for a future where LeBron and Durant are the new Magic and Bird, meeting in the Finals almost year after year and splitting the titles. Might as well go for broke now, eh?

They've gotta start Manu and Jefferson; Jefferson has finally started playing a lot better now cuz he seems to feed off of Manu really well. You don't mess with something that's working.

Seriously, it's not so bad when we get Parker back. Parker/Hill, Mason Jr., Blair and Bonner are solid. Better than Jordan Farmar and Sasha Vujacic, anyways.

Nope, they said done for the regular season originally, but now they're targeting maybe the last 2 regular season games (Twolves and Mavs) as a chance to get him back into the swing of things. He was always coming back for the playoffs, though.

He hasn't looked good in 2 years. He's still regarded as an ace, but he hasn't played like one for a while.

Honestly, he hasn't been the same since Clemens and Petitte left. Both of those guys were found to be using steroids.
