heh heh yea we aren't the devious sort at all. It's not like being dirt poor and deep in debt makes it more of an attractive option or anything like that :meanie:

I have never and will never look into such a thing, but I heard through the grapevine to be prepared for 40GB of downloading if you chose to go that route... hypothetically... if you were to do it... through torrent... from isohunt.
 
on a purely academic level, a 40g download would only be ~5 hrs on a good connection

edit: also, since p90x came up, the only google ad i ever see now is the p90x with a girl named taryn.

I got in to UCSD!!! Hooooooorrrrrayyyyy!!!! 😍
I have been bouncing up and down for the last two days!! It's amazing how much one phone call can change your entire life/career. Wow! I feel like all of this stress and hard work really paid off :soexcited:

How has everyone been? I missed ya'll.

too...much...to...read. since i am about gazillion pages behind where ever i left off - i challenge someone to give a concise summary of 2014 events for, i dunno, the last month.

if no one accepts, i will simply be in the dark w/ a lot of convos, responding w/ a bunch of 😕 and annoying everyone. or i will just be asking questions already asnwering, again annoying everyone. your choice.
 
Thanks everyone!!! I could not be more excited!!! UCSD was such a stretch dream school for me, especially as an OOS applicant- you just never know what will happen in this crazy cycle!!! I got the call as I was wiping the tears from Hopkins, haha...life is amazing sometimes 😛

with march madness and the 2014 fantasy baseball league, it was mostly just a lot of sports talk. also, on april fools day the mods moved this thread to the lounge and then to the all-students forum.

but most importantly, Zona got an acceptance!

That would be awesome! Nearly everyone I met there got in off the waitlist (seriously, about 12 people from the small sample of people I met). I think the lists move a lot at these top-tier schools because people have multiple acceptances and they obviously can only take one. I am rooting for you!!! 👍

(if not, you can take an SD vacation any time you want and crash on my futon 🙂 )

well, can't say i'm sad about missing the basketball sports talk but i did miss you all. its weird when you have some internet camaraderie w/ ppl, you start to the miss their cyberspace presence. and why fantasy baseball, we should talk about real baseball (and how my team is 2-0, only 160 games to go).
