why would anybody listen to something while they are sleeping?
yeah, i dont know about you, but it takes me about 20-30 min to fall asleep usually once I get in bed. If I just lay there, I start thinking about things that stress me out and it makes it worse. So by listening to AO and focusing my mental energy on that, it's the double benefit of making me learn stuff and also getting my mind off of other stuff. and since its so damn boring it makes me sleepier than just lying there would. before long i pass out! but not before getting a few random nuggets of knowledge in.
plus- although i would NOT rely on this as a study tactic!- i do believe in the power of subconcious. if i fall asleep listening to AO every night, who knows how much of that knowledge is actually making its way into my brain? if it's none, then no big deal, but i dont think it could hurt. i dont think it would make it into my 'recall' memory but maybe it will strengthen my 'recognition' memories.
anyway . . . if you're one of those people who just gets into bed and goes right to sleep, i'm jealous!
