Things are good, just busy.
I have 30 hours of overtime from work for my next check 👍 and finished my last pre-req for Mayo. As long as I passed the class, which should be no issue, I'll be there this July.
Have you made a decision yet or hear back from your WL schools?
Okay.
Coolz. I'm going to LSU-NO unless Baylor accepts me, and the chances of that happening are decreasing every day.
You're making some pretty random comments lately.

It might pick up. But they over-accept by a fair bit.
true, good point. do they accept all throughout the summer?
I have to register, get my email addy, student ID, and all that jazz before I start research. This is really real.

Wow, nice. Do you have any cool plans for the weekend?

Wow, it's 83 degrees in my room and I'm playing guitar. This will get hot.

oh blob, this isn't a crossword clue. haha.
nah - the most former (if that makes sense). at this point, i think i have stopped caring about it for various reasons. its not going to make a difference anymore in my decision.
Trees have bugs. Gross.

I've actually been doing some research about residencies and away rotations lately.
I want to make sure I get my stuff right this time around so that I can look back and know that I did my absolute best to get exactly where I want to be. I'm very motivated for that right now, we'll see how it goes as med school starts and continues.
dammit stop trying to be a good influence on me!![]()
kit kat when u starting
June.
June.
met, i asked my dad about research during residency/fellowship.
for those that have a requirement (especially those with 1 year requirement):
you have the option of choosing a clinical or bench project.
most people will take clinical, but some will take bench.
if you take clinical, your patients (if you will see new ones), will be scheduled on certain days. they can't/won't come 5 days a week, so rest of the time, you can be at home or be in the lab looking up charts. if you don't have to see patients, you can just look at charts and stuff.
what usually ends up happening: people end up scheduling research for end of their residency, and use that time to moonlight the **** out of their time and end up making bank.
they "keep a half day free for you to do research". depends on the program if they actually do that, the top notch academic programs will, clinically oriented programs might not like it, but if you are just looking at charts, you can do that when you are free as well

legitSS Starlin Castro of the Cubs hit a 3 run home run in his first Major league at bat and also hit a 3 run triple. in his first game in the MLB, he is so far 2/3, homerun, triple, 6 RBI, 1 run
Buy a jacket, and you'll be alright 👍
