yeah i didn't interview at brown either. but my essay wasn't about cookies so i don't think i could have expected anything other than a rejection 😉

yea, i think some times, us premeds really hate the idea of failure and the lack of stability. however, being able to be like "alright, i kinda suck at this or am not good at it, so i'll go into something different and work my way up" isn't a bad thing at all. but i guess the grass is always :luck:er on the other side.

right now, i just feel like i want to be single forever and not get married or have a family. i think medicine really has this focus/mentality of having a trophy wife with a couple of educated kids and being like a role model to them. i feel like if people are looking for that, it really makes medicine enjoyable.

the quality of writing and even the article subject/topics are hot garbage right now. even though there are lot more stuff to read now, i feel like i have to screen through 20 different articles to find a legit one. i kinda like it, but when I don't have time, I probably won't

yeah seriously, the only jobs in journalism are unpaid internships right now.

i do have a friend that works at forbes, but he's not exactly rolling in cash.
 
word, and i feel like the people that are training in the field (esp at private schools) are taking on a decent amount of college loans + doing a year of work/studying abroad too

it's looking like my gf will be in singapore over next summer (between my 1st and 2nd year). i gotta find something to do there for the summer.

at the very least i could so some work in a hospital somewhere in se asia for a few weeks and travel the rest of the time.
 
I always hear how health care writing/editing pays well. But I've never actually met anyone doing it, so maybe it's one of those things where everyone knows someone who knows someone. But no one actually knows one?

yeah duke has an affiliation with nus. i could probably get in on that. they don't even have to pay me since i'd have a free place to stay.

Weak, three of my players had a postponed game and I didn't change them out in time. Which is lame. Why can't I switch them out when technically their games haven't started yet?
 
Apparently LSU won't get their financial aid info out until June. :smack:

I'm going to call them on Thursday just to see if I can milk any info and use VCU as leverage. I'm not really trying to get money as much as I'm trying to get information. I'll sound more worthy of info if I'm trying to make a decision.

What is the point of having a priority deadline and filling out your FAFSA and stuff early if you're not going to get information until it's too late to make a decision! 😡

I'm done with biochem, guys. One stupid essay for my Women in Music class and I AM DONE WITH ALL THE UNDERGRAD TYPE CLASSES. Next mission = pharmacy school. Woot!
