Class of 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
 lukkie i love how your satire still gets to some people even after all this time

whatever happened to the guy who originally posted it btw 😕

cbrons is my boi... probably busy doing other stuff. he used to post on SDN a lot though.

huh?? umw = desi??

It's called the I-didn't-know-I-wanted-to-be-a-doc-until-I-was-in-my-senior-year path.

how about the, I-didn't-know-I-wanted-to-be-a-doc-until-I-graduated path

:lame:

Nothing like a good basketball game at night in the open.

There are FAR more attractive people in the world... I am not into the whole 'look at me I am attractive' nonsense. Not only that, but they have no real contribution to the game, especially at the professional level, other than to be eye candy for the perv in the 45th row. I watch football for football, to me they are just an annoyance.

Are you sure you're a male, Caesar?

Are you sure you're a female, 0Complications?

I'm practicing waking up at 5am so I'll be ready for residency.

That one's good too. Wouldn't it have been convenient to be a pre-med earlier though. The people I graduated with are going to be 4th years when we get to med school.

I'm gonna give AMCAS a final, quick run-through and then I'm not doing anything with it until I hit submit tomorrow.

그런데 하고 싶지 않아.🙁

Ahh another random (but relevant) question:

if we have a WP (withdraw passing) on our transcript, do we HAVE to explain this in those "anything else" essays?

I'd probably make sure they know about it. If there's a good reason, it will help to explain it, I think.

See the thing is that I'm not really sure there is a good reason. It was my freshmen year second semester, I had all other science classes (physics, bio, orgo). I thought the class would be relativevly easy but it turned out to be a lot more work than I expected, and I realized that a little too late when I reasoned that even if I got a 100% on the final (not possible) I would only have a B in the class. It was in Intl Relations, a field completely outside of my major or minor fields if that helps.....

gah I don't know whether to explain it as "young and foolish" or just ignore it? Although, I will probably be asked about it somewhere...

I don't know that I'd address it if it was just one time. But just be honest if you are asked in an interview.

Just to make sure, we don't have to assign our letters to medical schools right now on the primary, right?
We can always do that anytime after we submit?

hmm.... I think you are right. Seems like good advice 🙂

The instructions for this year's AMCAS also confirm this.

I'm trying to avoid that until med school starts.

So after much debate, I am now the proud owner of a 3 month old baby red-footed tortoise! It's so cool, and I sure hope it stays that way because I'll probably have it for the next 50 years.
AMCAS tomorrow! I'm so ready to begin the waiting game... I guess.
