born in some random small town in austria, becomes famous body builder, then a world-famous action movie star, then governor of the 4th largest economy in the world.

it's a little strange that i get excited for other people when they're accepted off the waitlist to their #1 school. i am only really excited because i want to know where they will be withdrawing from so i can get into my choice!

well i am decided for the school i was accepted to but i am holding on at a few waitlists. i would ideally love to end up at ucsd. tho.
 
you know what i also like, when threads turn into a :slap:between the med students. i just sit back and watch the fireworks.

Although it sucks starting early, that is really nice. Anatomy is the one class I am not looking forward to at all, and it's first. I already did anatomy like 3 times in undergrad but I just crammed like crazy, knew it all for the test, and forgot almost all of it right after. It was just never that interesting to me, so I'm jealous you are getting it over with fast !

:laugh: I generally do the same.

Plus, if you try and tell a med student anything, they're all "I'm a med student, I know more than you can possibly imagine, puny pre-med" and stuff.

You could be an architect and debating architectural stuff and the med student with no architectural experience will pull that. Or insert any kind of example like that.

I hope I won't get like that in med school. :scared:

My roommate left for a vacation, so now I am completely alone in my apartment for the next 2 days. Weird. It kind of sucks ending undergrad with such a crappy year, but it's nice to be done.

It's sad that the only real solution is to force laws / oversight onto them. I'm ok with that; but clearly we aren't there yet. That's one of the issues I had w/ obama supporting the offshore drilling program. I don't have a problem with the drilling; I have a problem with giving them a free pass to do it in whichever manner they want. I wonder if this whole blow up w/ BP was divine providence telling american law makers "Are you on crack!?"
