Class of 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
i think only my lab experiences and my fraternity descriptions hit the limit.

my activities paragraphs are WELL short of the 1300 char limit. good? bad?

i say good-adcoms don't want to read a long drawn out description if you can explain it in a couple sentances

Ardi Rizal is just a two-year-old boy, but is not less than a chain smoker.

Rizal who lives in a fishing village Musi Banyuasin, Indonesia, smokes at least 40 cigarettes in a day. He got addicted to smoking after his father gave him a cigarette when he was just 18-months-old, reports thesun.co.uk.

He weighs more than 25 kilograms and finds it almost impossible to run with other kids.

"He's totally addicted. If he doesn't get cigarettes, he gets angry and screams and batters his head against the wall. He tells me he feels dizzy and sick," said his mother Daina.

Rizal smokes a particular brand and his habit costs his parents more than 5 USD a day.

The officials of the village have offered to buy the family a car if he quits.

However Rizal's father Mohammed, a fishmonger finds no problem with his habit and believes his son is quite healthy.

"He looks pretty healthy to me. I don't see the problem," said Mohammed.

Hi Guys!

gooood morning

feel pretty sick- achey everywhere+ freezing even though it was 95 yesterday and is gonna be 85 today🙁

Going to Gtown eh? I hope you like wearing your white coat since you get to use it a lot in first year.

seems like top kill will be a success

$$$$$$$$$

Honestly, that should be priced into the stock already. I'd expect a little bump (edit: looks like it had a 6.5% run this morning), but not much more. Then again, I'm guessing you're not planning on holding it, eh?

Wow, so I'm likely not going to be back in Baton Rouge for another 4 months once I move. Crazy!

Wow, that just seems so final.

I'm going back today to pay some bills and grab some stuff. I will probably go back like 3 or 4 times over the next week. My apartment there will be empty for almost 2 whole months.

San Diego, Washington DC (National)

i know Jackson was looking, im thinking about hitting this up during med school

yea where are your 'biased' ref now? =p

they're evening things up

btw, i dare you to say now refs dont change the game. its much easier to see when ur holding the short end of the stick, eh? 😀

the nba screwed up with the techs, the first one on perkins was complete bull, but the second one is the right call, yet they rescinded the second one. but whatever, same effect.

I'm planning to take a trip on the East Coast for fun.

Any recommendations of where to go? Boston and NYC for sure, anywhere else? Also, what is the most economical way to get around?
I was just thinking about renting a car and driving it around, but that might be a west coast mentality...

its afternoon for normal ppl foo

noes, you'ses is one the wrong side of the worlds.

Maine!! Sounds strange but its so pretty. Savannah, GA also. Fried chickens...yummy. I think driving is a fun way to see the other coast. There shouldn't be any snow so the driving shouldn't be treacherous. You can stop at the neat little New England towns and take pictures like a goof, eat a fun restuarant, etc. I find that renting a car is a good way to customize my vacation. I hate being limited by tour groups.

i like driving around when traveling too, but driving in cities like ny is a real pain in the butt. parkings ridiculous too.

i've never said this. besides, it's one thing to get calls wrong, it's another entirely to throw out a starter on some ego-driven horsesht. the second T was completely uncalled for. he wasn't even facing the ref. just before that vince carter was yelling at a ref and he rightfully didn't get t'd up.

it doesnt matter where hes facing if hes swearing at the ref. most refs dont take kindly to "thats bull**** man".

and i dont give a crap about on whom or when a calls made. every call affects the game. the only thing that should determine if a call is made is whether or not its the right call.

i think the players should try refereeing a game. then they see how hard it can be to make a call during a fast paced game. its obvious when millions of people are looking at an instant slow-mo replay. bad, or incorrect, calls are part of the game. humans are refereeing, not robots. you just hope that its not the call that may cost you a game. although, i would argue that there were probably parts of the game that you messed up in, like missing the free throw, that contributed to a loss. eh.

you have yet to show how the rigged refs are calling the games for the celtics though. from what i remember from watching the games, the celtics are always in the penalty earlier than the magic

also, it was bullsht. second, is that actually what he said? couldn't tell from slo mo lip read

edit: also, don't the rules allow for a heat-of-the-moment reaction?

the penalty wasnt bull, though its def ticky tack, but u saw how tight they were calling everything last night for both sides. im pretty sure thats what he said judging by both reading his lips and the espn article mentioning that he was given the tech for swearing.

as for the bias, just look at the first 3 games. i cant remember all the calls, and mentioning one or two obviously isnt gonna convince you. last night for the magic was how it was for the celtics the first 3 games, the 4th game was the only evenly officiated game. im not saying that th

discounting the couple bullsht calls on perkins, i thought yesterday was relatively evenly officiated as well.

yea its damn hard to make those calls, so im cool with bad calls as long as they even out in a series. heres to 2 more games called in the magic's favor 😀

i used to ref intramurals. the first softball game i ever called was between a frat and some dorm team.

the frat guys were taking it so seriously, they showed up with batting gloves and a doughnut. and then the other team's pitcher threw a perfect game.

this was slow-pitch softball, mind you. it was epic. and hilarious.

werent those 2 enough?
i doubt there were calls against the magic of that magnitude in the entire series. but yea those 2 got me pretty pissed last night

lullzorz.. gotta love when the srsbznz kids get their butts kicked. when i played intramural football there was a team who CLEARLY should have played in the advanced league, but played in the intermediate one just to win. total @ssclowns, one of them was an all-state in high school.

a perfect game in slow-pitch softball? that's awesome

i can just imagine these huge guys trying to hit it out every time but they can never get the timing of the lollypop pitches. ahhh that must have been a sight to behold.

a perfect game in slow-pitch softball? that's awesome

it was.

the game was 7 innings, and for the first 5 innings they just tried to kill the ball and ended up hitting routine fly balls right to the outfielders.

then in the 6th inning they panicked as the prospect of a perfect game became more possible.

part of the fun of playing against frat teams is that most of the time they came completely wasted to games. it made it easier w/ their lack of coordination. it was more difficult, however, when they didn't feel the pain due to the etoh and would crash into anyone or anything. also, they were more belligerent ---> more fights when our guys had to defend us girls. frankly, i can defend myself and i am never afraid to throw an elbow or knee jerk during a game if you piss me enough and play dirty.

:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh: That's so bad they can't even blame it on the EtOH.

blame it on the al-al-al-al...

sidenote, i didn't realize how expensive steths are...wow. good thing those are included in the school budget.

no single calls of that magnitude obviously, but smaller calls add up, like that 4th foul on dwight in like the first minute of the 3rd quarter a couple games back. it sidelined him for like the entire quarter. dwight out for a quarter isnt that much better than perkins out for a half really, plus there were other calls too.

I think I'm the only med student who doesn't know anything about steths. There's always med students on here discussing the ascultator 5000 or whatever, and I have no clue what any of them are talking about.

Doing errands today sucked. But I got myself an awesome LSU bookbag! I also cried when I was leaving my mom's office. I'm moving in 3 days. It's really sad, kinda. I got myself some unhealthy food to make myself feel better. Now there's a horrible storm outside. :scared:
