I'm moving out of my (crappy) apt near NYC back home to princeton on sunday 😀 I don't move to philly till first week of august though (classes start august 9th). I would actually like to move in middle of july, but it just won't happen. I'm very much a last minute kinda person... even when I try not to be, it ends up that way. I'm bad ass like that 😎

And yea, I'm starting apartment hunting now. I still gota find a roommate too. That's a big pain right there. I'd like to live by myself, but I'd save too much money having a roommate to not have a roommate 🙁

i get an alumni discount through stanford, so i'd only pay $68 per month if i got an iphone.

i'm going to wait for the 4g and get one after i'm done traveling this summer

My daily thing was generally like a bit of a coffee and an apple if I felt like it. Well, I had to eat the pie in the scene, and then there was a scene eating chicken as well. But I tried not to swallow. Because it's amazing how you can literally just have a couple of bites of something and your face will expand again if you're really at that low point. To keep that really sunken look, you've got to be eating practically nothing..

I have trouble making it past the 7-8 mile mark on humid, 90 degree days. Side aches and a slight urge to vomit really keep me from getting in the groove.

I think I'll just wait for now. There's no rush and just too much crap going on in my life right now. Things should settle down in about 2 weeks or so.

I get a discount for verizon through my employer (my phones are always free - w/ the 2 year upgrade stuff, you usually have to pay something; but I never do); and I get a 22% discount on whatever plan I have 👍

They are (actually, I think they started today? Or is it monday?). And yes, it's only for the current generations (which will be considered "old" generations soon)
 
Does every med student think they know more than every single person beneath them in the process?

1st years think they are infinitely more wise than premeds about to matriculate, 2nd years think they know so much more about life than the measly 1st years who haven't began the "real" studying yet, etc...

Seems like a pissing contest to me.

yea it really is a pissing contest. That's why I stick to the 2014 thread and the Penn 2010 thread. That's it 🙂 Well maybe I should go stick my head in the 2011 penn thread. But yea I just hide in these little holes and everything is fine and dandy 👍

Reading some of the comments in the "I love medical school" thread just kinda made me think this recurring thought again.

In a couple of days, Sammich will be infinitely more wise than the rest of us 2014ers when she starts. :laugh: We won't even be able to talk to her any more.

welcome to our lives for the next 10 years or so? lol. I dont even worry about it. I think its the type of people this profession would attract. I do hate that though. Every M1 is like OMG YOU PRE MED NOOB. So i guess based on sdn all of us in about 2 months when we are M1s we are going to somehow obtain some profound wisdom as soon as we walk in the door🙄.

yea I totally expect her to start talking down to us and everything. If not I'm going to be very disappointed :laugh: Actually - does ksmi count in that group too? Well I guess she doesn't officially start till August; so it'll only be Sammi for now :meanie:

Yeah, I'm going to hang around Pre-Allo and just bash anyone that doesn't think the way my incredibly huge med school brain does.

Especially if it involves residency, Step I and things that I just know sooooo much more about since I've dissected the superficial muscles of the back and all. 🙄

Yup. If the nonmessy countries were smart they would never have gotten in bead with (read:the euro) all the idiots surrounding them, now it's the entire continent's mess. Euro= possibly the most ill conceived idea of our time.
 
It's 6pm and I'm hungry. One of the annoying points of summer for me - I HAVE to eat 4 - 5 meals (even if I'm not working out). It's like my internal clock just knows it's summer and keeps getting hungry every few hours 😡
 
i've always wanted to have a bulldog and a pug and name them bruno and popeye, respectively
