i have a feeling i will be separate from the world for the next 4 years considering the last 2 days/1 night has felt like a century and i had time to check my email only once until now 😱

aaaand med school hasn't even started yet..

Pretty relaxing sat night... I'm catching up on my South Park haha with a glass of pretty decent wine. Should probably be studying for my shelf but <shrug>
 
I need to sleep soon im pretty sure i will dream in craigslist tonight..

filling up a house from scratch is insane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well you know blizzard and their attention to detail. I think for the expansions they're going to add units and other tidbits along with the campaign. They've been pretty tight lipped about everything. I mean diablo 3 is in the same situation and it isn't getting broken up and still going to take who knows how long.

Also, I didn't mean 3 years for the expansion but rather 3 years if they hadn't split the game into 3 pieces. So the overall product would have taken 3 more years, but since they're doing it in pieces I'm guessing it'll take them 3 years to release the last expansion.

Blizzard's in good business though, the game brought in at least $90 million on just the first two days, who knows how much more since after that.

yea i see, man i hope the expansion is as good as BW was. wings of liberty is a terran campaign right? so i suppose SC2 is gonna finish with the protoss campaign? i kinda feel like it should finish with a terran one since SC1 never did.
 
I just watched the orientation video that our class made for the 2013ers... it was soooo good, haha. Almost a full length feature film, like 1:15 long!

Yep, Wings of Liberty is a terran campaign, Hearts of Swarm will be Zerg focused, and Legacy of void will be Protoss focused. I'm sure they'll integrate terran stories into Legacy of Void so we'll see. I don't really care about the Zerg race but I still want to see the whole story play out I guess.

I played online some today and yea... just because you're good in the campaigns (like I was) doesn't mean you're good online at all. I'm very rusty in PvP matches, they move faster than I remember.

As you can tell I spent the majority of my time in middle school playing rts games like starcraft, AoE 1 & 2, Civilization and The Incredible Machine (TIM). Those were really fun times...

yeah, online play generally requires a different strategy to be successful. Usually more speed, it's easier to play defense in the campaigns than against people.

I've yet to venture into online play, it's been so long since I played a video game of any kind that I'm trying to hone my skills a bit first.

This is the biggest thing I noticed while playing the beta. Macromanagement is much more challenging in SC2, which makes micro more difficult as well. Totally different game.

I just found out that awesome festival is coming to Dallas on a Friday in September when I get off at 11am that day. I would have to skip a 3 hr lecture to get there on time with my free plane ticket. Worth it? First exams are Sept 27-28th.

Thoughts?

- someone scheduled their wedding for new years eve:eyebrow: (free booze at least)
- I'll be on vacation most of this week so my presence will be sparse, if any.
- baseball is boring.
- I want a pool table.
 
Anyone else notice Carlos Gonzalez's ridiculous numbers this week? I checked my fantasy team and the dude is out of his mind.

I only saw it now, but someone in the "system is flawed" thread used the huge awkward turtle in it. I may have felt a tear roll down my cheek.
