Yup, lectures are horrible.
I'm a bit behind myself. No exam for a month though, so my priorities are as follows:
1. WTF should I do with my life?
2. working out
3. working out liver
4. lab work
5. studying.
I think we should talk about number one.
I have always been fond of people who teach ballroom dance. Maybe you could do that.
I could teach the robot!
I think we have found you a career, my friend.
On to #2. Do you do pilates?🙂
I am a heterosexual male... so no.![]()

running +push-ups+sit-ups FTW
Great. I'm sick. Took some Benadryl last night at maybe 7ish and just woke up. So much for getting studying done this weekend. 🙁
dayquil is your friend
btw how is school everyone? HST is intense lol I think I learned more this past week than I would have during an entire month of undergrad.
yes it is, will be fun when we stomp you this year 😛
hey what up all
yeah i just finished the first week and i feel the same way. so much material, pace is much faster.
i'm going through a bit of an adjustment getting my brain back into school mode.
me tooeven though i only had one summer to rot my brain, i think i did a pretty thorough job of it
My problem is that the summer rotted my brain in addition to my entire senior year.
I will study a lot this week. I need to at least get close to catching up.
That's what I told myself last week, but with exams every 2 weeks, you can only fall so much behind before your ass gets kicked. And then the cycle starts all over again weeee!
life is so different only a year later
This Boise-VT game should be interesting.
I'm going to miss so much football this upcoming week because of the way my flights are scheduled (during part of the Saints' game and during some college games on Saturday).
VT needs to wake up
Where are you going?
I'm planning to road trip to Nashville for the Vandy game this weekend. I'm excited!! 😀
This is a pretty exciting game.
yep. That late hit just now was BS. Dude was still running like he was in bounds and nobody heard the whistle blow.
It won't be quite the same experience, since it's not at the Big House and there won't be nearly the same crowd size, but it should still be a fun game to watch. Do you have tickets?
genetics final tomorrow morning, eep! and anatomy later tomorrow and wednesday. should be fine, but i can't believe i've been here long enough for exams already!
also, HI everyone!!
Boise was gifted ~45 yards on the no-call with the block in the back and the late hit.

this might be a stupid question, but are labs required in med school like they are in undergrad?
From what I can gather so far, it depends on the class. For instance, at my school, you have to go to anatomy lab, especially when it is your group's turn to dissect; however, our histology labs are optional, meaning that the slides/images are all available online and there is no set time enforced for you to go to an actual lab and observe them. Now, that being said, even with the histology labs the way they are and even though they are up to you to complete, it is prudent to do them during the recommended timeline.
Word on that.
😕 on the bolded?
The school is organized so that different groups are in charge of dissecting different parts of the body and they present their dissections to the other groups...something like that. lstone or dingy can clarify. I don't feel like studying and I'm just trying to waste time right now.

Yep. That's it. It's a peer teaching method. There are four color groups, and as an example, tomorrow, blue group gets to dissect the hand and forearm. Then, come Friday, they show us everything they found and teach us everything we need to know.
