The answers to both questions, I would easily say, would be watch early screening of Transformers in IMAX theather.

Transformers will be in theaters for a while. LSU baseball not so much...if you can put one off, you can still do both!! Hopefully this Transformers will be like The Hangover, and people will want to see it multiple times!
 
am I the only one that finds IMAX wildly overrated? its too big..............

For those who applied for fap/disadvantaged, did any of you get this letter and book thing from dartmouth? I got one today and for some reason i thought it was a secondary, then i was dissapointed🙁. Something about me being disadvantaged/minority and they got my address from amcas or something😕. The book they sent was nice at least, i wish all schools did that, if i have to write a why dartmouth essay its going to be awesome😛. this is by far the biggest and nicest looking admission book ive ever seen🙂

Did it come through snail mail today?
 
Oh blue since you were asking about suny downstates letter req, they seem pretty flexible on that. I asked them about using my clinical research prof. letter as my science letter, they said yes. Maybe they will let you do something similar.

yap it was dated like 5 days ago on the letter they wrote to me.

so can I assign all my letters to schools? Downstate only wants 2. Do you think it would be okay to assign all 5 of mine? I asked AMCAS and they were most unhelpful.

This is from the SUNY downstate site "Please do not submit more than the specified number of recommendation letters, as this will delay the processing of your application. It is your responsibility to ascertain that your letters have been received by:"

So i think that answers it. Honestly though if you already clicked the boxes dont worry dude. Its not going to ruin you or anything. If you have the chance though, Id just click on 2 on the primary app (though i didnt realize this and sent all 4 lol)

I thought that statement was like last years, where people had to manually snail mail letters. But this year with the AMCAS Letter service, I thought since schools download letters, I could assign multiple letters?

like i said earlier i was told they could download the letters and not to worry by my advisor at my school. He could be wrong and it certainly wouldnt be the 1st time an advisor was wrong. I think the best bet would be call suny downstate, id call but i already bothered them once today..😛

the statement i bolded was from their website. In the end like i said it wont matter as some people cant assign 2 letters as their schools wont let them (such as UCI) and hundreds of people are accepted to med school from here each year so i doubt it matters.
 
So for WashU, we have to get a form signed by our dean's office that asks whether we had an disciplinary action in undergrad. I went to get it filled out. And my Dean's office decided that my IA isn't important enough to report. So my primary says that I was on probation, and my form thingy said I never did anything wrong. Oh, application inconsistencies.

Im beginning to think these are pretty common, i know i have them. Its not like in your case its going to matter anyways 😛

Yeah, I know. It's just annoying because I went through all this stuff trying to get it expunged and the dean's office told me that they would have to report it no matter what. And then they don't

I hope after I get into medical school this year I don't spontaneously transform into a huge loser with no life that tries to compete for the "top" post (with unfunny symbolism courtesy of Google image search) in a 150+ page thread and say things like "class of 2014 pwns you!" or "too bad you 2015ers aren't as good as us 2014ers!!!!@" or some other such *****ic thing ad naseum.
 
I upgraded to IE 8 and AMCAS doesn't support it.:smack:

I should have left it with IE 7. Now I have to download Firefox so I can actually go to AMCAS website.

forget it. i just walked around the area, and by 'walked around' i meant pushed through at least 10000 annoying little brats yapping like the snooty pre-teens they are in a candy store. ridiculous. and the stars aren't even coming for another hour.

but i did snap a quick pic, so fast none of those kids were able to grab my phone with their greasy little hands
