Hello everyone,
I am back on SDN for those of you who remember me and those of you who dont know me, hello!!, hehe.
I took my 2nd mcat because i didn't do so well on the last one and i was basically staying away from all the time killing habits (including SDN). anyways hows everyone doing here, anyone got interview call already??
 
so does anything happen on weekends in general? interview invites, rejections, secondary invitations?

Welcome back! I hope the MCAT went well! Bamtuba got an interview. Read the Buffalo thread if you want to see who else got one. There's also some auto-invites for people with high stats at places like Pitt and Michigan.
 
So my computer definitely has a major virus. Not like last time where it was some software mixup that I couldn't figure out for 2 weeks and thought it was a virus.
Sometimes programs shut down randomly, computer won't turn off, computer turns itself off...
I've ran everything I can think of right now multiple times, tried system restore, and am using my extremely good anti-malware program in safemode for about the 4th time.
Maybe this is really the end of the line...
It's a good thing I saved all my secondary crap on a flash drive.
So who got Loyola's secondary web thingy, because I didn't and it's not cool.
 
Oh, I forgot, tonight's Friday night and not everybody is a lame-ass like me who's worked 24 of the last 48 hrs and has to get up early tomorrow for work again. 🙁
Have fun, people who are having fun. Guess I'm peacing out.

wow youre killing things right now 🙂. Its good to see someone who doesnt have the 36+ mcat do so well ! 😛. I think mayo and boston are like the only schools who function on the weekends though.

Yeah. It's not that my ECs are bad, its just that Mayo people have nuts stuff. I guess I just didn't realize that; probably would have spent my money elsewhere.

do you see how it's the same people getting multiple interview invites right now? You know, I think they will also be the ones getting multiple acceptances early.

Even less fun is the really drunk patient who decides she wants to puke on you...

As you arrive at the ED...

Just couldn't wait one more minute. 👎

And then the ambulance decides to start throwing coolant everywhere as you pull into the base (could have been worse I guess).

Last night was no fun.

Oh well.

ive come to the conclusion we just suck blue lol even suny buffalo doesnt think we are worthwhile! We are gonna be like the typical cali applicants, apply to 35+ schools only one acceptance at some school no one wants to go to in the midwest lol 😛. Or be reapplicants! 😉

good i got to spend the morning and afternoon with my son!! 1st time in a while his evil mother let me 🙂. But hes gone now 🙁

Just because you haven't gotten an interview yet doesn't mean they don't think you are worthwhile. They probably haven't even reviewed your apps yet. It's still July.

i know, i could very well hear nothing then get some interviews and acceptances in january, i know im not like done, just seeing otehrs get interviews makes me want one 😛. SDN makes me more crazy then i would normally be.

It was really just one of those "fun" calls where nobody knows whats going on until you get there. Better puke than blood.

I usually work whatever shifts are open and last night was one. Fridays during the school year are interesting with the local colleges and underaged drinkers (you know who you are...).

Agreed. And fwiw I just want to make sure that no one thinks I'm trying to be an obnoxious jerk about the news I have personally heard. Just excited.

The way I look at things for this point is as potentially expensive and drawn out rejections until proven otherwise, but exciting none-the-less.

Besides, my wife is going through this process as a re-applicant and I have a LOT to consider before things are said and done...

It's gonna be one heck of a ride.

Sigh. No. At this point, I'm indifferent. I mean I'm hoping it's just cause they haven't got to me yet (which I still find hard to believe as I was probably one of the first 10 people verified). But maybe they are doing it in some random order. Or maybe they just forgot about me. Or maybe they are unsure about me. Who knows? But if I get a secondary, great. If not, I'll be upset, but it's not the end of the world.

I know what you mean. I usually run Thursday nights, and during the school year the drunk students we pick up almost always go to pediatrics because they're usually 18-20.
