blue what was your approach to the last UCLA prompt? im trying to decide whether i should tell a story/narrative or something a tad more serious...
 
Where do you see yourself in 10 years? What experiences have led you to this goal?
 
I wrote about what field I wanted to go into and why. I used some ideas from my PS to support it.
 
So just a random WTF, I was just looking for flights and the same flight I saw for $428 yesterday is now $201 today. What the hell? I don't understand airlines and their messed up pricing. When I booked my trip to Seattle a while back, the packages were around $600 for a while, jumped to $800 later, then fell back to $650 when I booked.
😕😕 Confusing. This is why I would rather drive most places.
 
It's only 800 characters. Think about what specialty you might want to do. Do you want go into private practice? Academic medicine? Research? Why do you want to do that? Would it help you raise a family? Do you want to practice in an urban setting or a rural setting or something in between? You probably don't need a narrative, just a succinct informative paragraph.

I agree. Driving takes awhile, but flying is annoying. I hear Tuesdays are the best time to buy plane tickets though.
 
so not looking forward to paying hundreds per flight/interview

Also, don't completely set your sights on one specialty (obviously) unless you have some incredible life experience to why you want to specialize in that. I think for questions like this, it helps to generalize the overall picture a little.

Well, do you think it might jump up tomorrow? I don't want to get caught with a crappy price, especially knowing that how high it can go.
I could drive there, even if it takes a while, it's the driving back within certain time that I don't have. And long drives are a lot harder by yourself.
When I drove to Houston for Katrina, it took me 16 hrs (normally takes 5ish). I also drove back from Ohio in one day for 15 hrs, so long drives don't bother me. I hate airports.

I'm not sure. I wish time restraints weren't an issue. I'd love having my car with me at interviews.

Work is annoying, but I guess it's better than being off and constantly watching my email. I'm occupied and getting paid for it.

as someone who went to a party school, was in a fraternity and went out 3-4 times a week in undergrad, I think at this point I could give it up for 4 years for the right school.. Brown? Sure.. FSU? More like 4 days.

I shudder to think at how badly you'll have to blow an interview to somehow get rejected. You'd probably have to insult the interviewers mother AND take his wallet. You really needn't stress so much.

HAHAH Aggro! 50-80% of people who interview still get rejected...they can't all be terrible people lol
