At least he's not as bad as Eric.... I think Eric is way more calculating and controlling, but of course, people like him w/ his blonde hair and smug charm. :laugh:

Ahhh! I can't get hooked into another show! I have Dexter to look forward to after True Blood. I don't watch much tv, but if I like a show, I REALLY like it. School starts soon though and I need to focus!! 😳

LOL, ok, well it's not a REAL place, but the character go to Shreveport, New Orleans and Dallas so far in the book series, and in maybe the fourth episode of season 1, some vampires mention hitting up a LSU frat house for some "blood".

$3268, two secondaries left to pay for. I have a column set up in my spreadsheet to keep track of interview expenses too.

Uggghh, this is torture, I woke up at 3:00 and haven't been able to fall back to sleep. I'm already at lab. It's going to be a long day.

welcome to my life (i don't do research but that's how i roll in my job).

in other news, my crazy roommate that i can't stand moved out this morning!!! so i get a whole 3 days in the apartment with just the roomies i like until we all move.
 
roommate drama in NYC is great. there are some people that are really out there, I think its more true for girls
 
i peaced out from the room i was renting last week. landlord got real pissed. taught her a lesson about refusing to sign a lease 😛

I had a great roommate for 10 of the 12 months we shared a lease--then she went psycho--stealing/hiding stuff, etc. I moved out July 1st and paid rent on 2 apartments just because I couldn't stand it anymore. The lease ends on the 10th, so I texted her to ask how much we owed. She quoted a number that I found out later was significantly higher than our actual rent owed, and I ended up paying her $140 too much. She now refuses to return those funds.

All I can think is, "wow, that's a secondary and a week of groceries!" 🙁. Don't think I have any recourse either...
 
congrats! they usually put out a good basbetball team each year (kyle korver) and some ppl i met from their undergrad were pretty chill

not in the traditional sense, but after 11 weeks of surfing sdn/espn and making obscene $, i got a strong performance eval from my R&D manager and an unofficial invite to intern here again next summer 😀

oh ok. theres this poor girl on another thread here who asked for some advice, and theyre crucifying her! this is why i hate premeds...everyone is so self-righteous. no one ever looks at themselves and always gives themselves more credit than they deserve...i hope adcoms can smell this. otherwise im gonna hate being a doc, not cause of what im doing, but because of who im doing it with 🙁

Thats why i hate pre meds and im scared ill hate my future classmates lol. Why cant people just be chill and not be insane anal premeds

honestly i was going to post about how cruel everyone was being to her too but i wasnt sure if you guys had seen the thread, i actually support maceo's advice of not disclosing it, after all he is the attending and while i try to eschew myself from premeds in general, every one i know seems to have deadset plans on blatant exaggeration to the verge of outright lying during application season -im sure over 1/2 the people hating on this girl are doing something similarly egregious

for people who are so hell-bent on going into a career that demands compassion, understanding, and appreciation for others' hardships and unique circumstances, there are a sh|t load of pr|cks out there who are only interested in themselves.

self-righteous on here is a euphemism for cutthroat...

yea i liked maceo's advice. that one kid who bolded and underlined and red fonted I HATE YOU...like seriously!? i hope youre never in a clinic where you encounter some poor girl who has dealt with hardships and is now looking for advice on what to do with her pregnancy at 14....these people have no sympathy. their horses are way too tall for this profession 🙄

oh and if any of you guys on THIS thread are the type of premeds were talking about, take the BBC outta your butts...i dont wanna go to school with such uptight individuals 🙂

i completely agree, the one guy actually threatened her, i was jsut like wtf, you can't exhibit that kidn of aggression at such an insignificant impetus and be an empathetic doctor...
