I like Buckeyes, because after we killed yall in the game, some OSU fans paid for some of my drinks on Bourbon b/c they upped the price after we waited for an hour. 👍 :laugh:

I received an interview invite yesterday lol. It's super early for interviews now, but I am interviewing in september

Ahh, gotcha. I thought the "I" next to the date was for interview, but I guess it means Invite.

yea I applied there and got an interview last thursday for early-mid september

peopel on here grilled me last year because of my stats. I was depressed for a whole week. They almost made me give up my hopes of being a physician. But a lot of doctors told me that no one can tell me what I can and can't do. keep supporting each other guys.👍

I will do the same. It's so depressing to see almost everyone on here with interviews except me. 🙁

I've heard that as well, but with an MCAT >30 and good clinical experience I would be you would have a shot. I'm not sure what your clinical exp is, but if it's solid I bet you'll hear from them.

well mine aint amazing, certainly below their average, so I think they look beyond that

Yeah, yours isn't too much higher than mine, I think. So that gives me hope. Plus, the invite from UVA made me a lot more optimistic for other places, since I didn't think I had a great shot there.
I'm tired, maybe I'll take a nap 😴

i'm not *actually* expecting any news until the end of the month-- i applied to late schools (judging by mdapps and last year's threads). i'm actually feeling pretty chill and glad to have the chance to rest from apps and stuff for the month. woo hoo.

Awesome! Enjoy that...for some reason I'm just sitting on 2 secondaries, its like I'm waiting for them to hatch and become essays or something uggggh

It might take longer to review all the essays for MD/PhD programs as well. You're stats look solid, so I'm sure you'll be hearing something in no time.

Just got back from a mock interview. It was good. Got some good tips yay! metallica, when you get back to school, you should set one up with Career Services if you haven't already. Ask to do it with Blake. He's super cool.

Also, this happened both at my mock interview and when I asked a med student friend for interview advice. They told me to check out studentdoctor.net. It apparently has some awesome stuff. My response: "Yeah, I've looked at it before. It seems pretty helpful." :laugh:

Well, if someone asks if I post there, sure I'll tell them. But when they are talking about the interview feedback which is separate from the forums, I'm not about to be like "Oh yeah, of course, SDN! I actually moderate the crazy forums on that site."

hey Ksmi, does your Career Office offer only one mock interview per student? My Career Center gives only one per student, which sucks.

Nope. He told me to come back again any time I had a question or wanted to practice or anything. He also suggested that I do a mock interview with their other interviewer but she was out of town today.

was this mock interview service mainly for jobs/internships? or is it designed for grad schools, or both? Cause the one I found at my school focuses on jobs
