That's pretty cool that you guys even have that service. My school doesn't offer anything like that. It sounds like a huge plus to have someone grill you then give you feedback and an idea about what you need to work on.

Did they hit you with any zingers? Or were you pretty much ready for all of the questions.

The ones I'm not sure how to answer are the questions that ask: "Tell us about something amazing you have done. You know, the kind of story you will tell your grandchildren some day..."

I'm like, well... Those are the kinds of stories I didn't think I was supposed to discuss at an interview...

Anyone have a good answer for this? I don't want to borrow it, just get the creative juices flowin'.
 
The weirdest one was "Pretend you are your best friend and tell me why I should accept ksmi into this school." That was really awkward. It's bad enough to brag on yourself in general, but to do it in the 3rd person... bleh.

Yeah, that's a tough one. I would probably stick to "hard working, dedicated etc." on that one otherwise it can seem like you're bragging, which sucks.

are there still interview date left for late august/early september? i think ill submit the secondary tomorrow

So how did you prepare for your interview? I'm thinking about setting up one at my school, but I'm not sure when I should do it. I guess before classes start would be best....

PS. Every time I see the LSU tiger's eye I think of your icon....and that's pretty damn often considering there are way too many LSU bumper stickers in LA. 😛

I just set up the appointment earlier this week so I didn't have much time to prepare. I just went over the generic questions (strength, weakness, tell me about yourself, etc.). There were some that I hadn't thought about but it was generally pretty easy.

it caught me by surprise! i just got completed today... and i submitted my secondary yesterday...just goes to show how freakin random this whole process is!

😀 thanks! its a great relief. i kinda had my doubts.

good luck to everyone out there who is still waiting. it feels great when you get it. just a terrific feeling, and this isnt even an acceptance! have a feeling one of those is borderline illegal for the euphoria it creates 😛

honestly i would have loved to apply CCLCM, i have a huge interest in medical research, but the essays just werent worth it. i wasnt feeling up to it after submitting 33 secondaries 🙁

i have a feeling we will be going to the same school, becoming roommates, and spending the next 4 years gallivanting through med school while running train on unsuspecting non-medically involved girls. they will be bangin 🙄

I know I can't. This game freaked me out as a kid. Sudden unexpected actions still startle me more than they should. Now at least with Operation, I know I suck so the suddenness of the buzzer isn't so unexpected.

Night all, I'm off to bed. I've been waking up late this week.
 
I can't believe this week is almost over...the MCAT demolished my week. I haven't done anything except sleep and read SDN. I've only got a few essays on the duke secondary left so here's to a more productive weekend :yawn:

I move back to campus a week from tomorrow. Then hell week (well, hell 10 days) aka band camp. But I get to miss two of the days for an interview.

😱 My interview is 2 weeks away!!!!! :scared:
