Well that's okay. The goal was shock, and by everyone's reactions, I am satisfied.
Plus, were you really surprised? I like metal music, have long hair and have a snake - I guess I can be pigeon-holed into that profile. But I don't really worship Satan and am pretty damn normal in real life, in case you were scared.

Did anyone get an email from University of Vermont SOM? I didn't apply there but they somehow got my email address and sent me an email saying how good their school is and that I should consider applying.

Same here. I was confused when I was receiving things from schools I'd never applied to. They come through the mail too. I've learned to ignore them.

What basis do these schools have in being interested in anyone? An MCAT score, at most? I mean, sure, people may get in. But if they had applied without getting said invite, they still would have gotten in. But I really think they are just a way to get more applicants to apply. I don't think it's just a money thing though. Some of these people may get in that may not have applied before. Besides the schools want a broad range of choices for the student body. This is a way to get that.

It's based on MCAT score and, I think, URM status. But someone told me it doesn't really affect whether or not you get into those schools. If it did, I would have applied to John Hopkins and Dartmouth a long time ago... 🙄 Well, maybe not Dartmouth, definitely Hopkins.

Whatever you do don't go on a ghost tour. It freaking sucks. My sister who was 26 at the time thought it would be a good idea. They brought us around and pointed to a parking lot, a room, and told bad stories. Ug.

i went there for spring break 2 years ago. freaking AWESOME. ended up getting a tour of UW from an alum of my school and am applying there


if you're going with a girl, have dinner in the space needle...at night of course. crazy (although really expensive. i could've bought a wii with that dinner. dam ex)

also, take an underground tour. kinda interesting. dont expect much, but its cool.

PIKE'S PEAK MARKET...AHHH such good food. i keep thinking about these mini donuts from one of the shops. there is a food tour of it where they stop at a bunch of places and you get samples. awesome (my ex arranged it, it started at the seattle's best coffee across from the entrance)

go to the pier and just relax. the view of victoria is awesome (bring your passport and maybe go across? i didn't have mine, but i wish i did)

international district is cool, as well as downtown. if you're into bookstores..there is a really cool one called Elliott Bay Book Co. pretty neat. i dont read much, but i could appreciate it.

i went to a sonics game while there, then went back to the hotel room, turn on the tv, and they announced after the game they were moving to OKC. crazy. seattle is awesome. enjoy. i need to make a trip out to portland next.

yea. we pretty much attend the games just to socialize...not to watch.

hockey games are where it's at though.

basketball is fun too just because of how close you can get. yell at the opposing team and you can actually get responses. lol

lost my NYC night-time virginity traveled to 3 states in a day, stayed in the most chic hotel i've ever been in, and missed work because i got my car towed...TWICE in two of those states.

and yet im happy as can be 😀 i love nyc. screw cali, im staying on the east coast 😛
