i gotta say, i'm so DONE with this that if i manage to (pleasepleaseplease) get into downstate or umass early on, i will withdraw from almost all of my other schools. i am just so tired of all of this.

Same here. I'm tired of making excuses for myself as to why I haven't gotten invites from schools who have started sending them. Oh well. In less than a year, this will be all over.

ditto. i just keep coming back to "well, there's something they don't like about my app. guess i'll never know." alas.

My go-to excuse is that I have an IA and a lot of schools have a separate committee that review all IA/crimes/etc. before the app is even reviewed by the regular committee. Thus, my application should be slower than most other people.

It's sad that I've thought so much into this, no?

i have to miss a friday (i.e. most important day of experiment) at work to go be at my s.o.'s mother's surgery. it was weird asking for the day off because I had asked for the following tuesday off and then I cancelled that when my mini vacation got disrupted. ...too complicated!

and dont worry about stats. i can say with personal experience, i think they aren't even half the battle. mine are nothing to gawk over. PS, LOR's, secondary essays, EC's. i think everything holds weight.

i should have clarified, i didnt mean actual interviews, i meant invites. didnt you post something about getting your first invite this week? it just made me laugh because i know you have a bunch already.

i really didn't mean it in a bad way. im jealous (as we all surely are) but don't feel bad for Godsakes, obviously you've done something right to earn your many invites. enjoy it! 😀👍

Don't withdraw from UVM though! I like you, you're my fellow artsy non-carnivore friend. And I think UVM is the only school we both applied to :laugh:
 
How long did it take you guys to receive secondaries after you were complete? I was complete on Monday mid-afternoon and still nadda... Wtf...

I'm hoping they start to trickle in by Monday... Considering I'm only applying to five schools, I can hopefully have them all back by next Friday... I thought the process would be automated.
