I wish, but I've got practice from 3:30 - 9 tonight. And we got this massive speech about going to practice impaired and such.

I received an email last night from a nameless school saying I needed to explain my low GPA and let them know if I intended to do any more postbac before they would continue to process my application. Ouch.

This morning I received a secondary from Emory.

But those other 20-something schools who have had my info for a month now -- nada. 🙁

I tutor through wyzant.com . It's a pretty nifty website -- they take a big chunk of commission (starts at 40% and decreases the more hours you work), but they organize your clients, advertise your name, handle all payments, etc. On the whole, it's a lot easier to manage and you get 2x what Kaplan offered me per hour (and I only need to work .5 more hours before they up my pay % 😀)

EDIT -- if you're gonna sign up, please use me as a reference (PM me and I'll show you how). I get points that in turn can be redeemed for cash...

Ha ha. Nice shameless plug! I think the tutoring option sounds great. I am trying to get away from tutoring now. I have to tutor tonight, but I'm not going to be doing much more of it in the future... I want to be school free for about a year before I start med school. I need the mental break after going year round for 5 years...

nah i wouldnt start getting worried yet at all. a lot of schools haven't even sent out invitations, so i think 3 is a great number to have at the moment!

first time that i was talking on gchat that an interview popped up. interview is mad early actually, in less than 2 weeks. will be nice to go back to ky tho

:laugh: oh dear lord. by "other ways" i meant by tutoring privately. and by "tutoring," i mean teaching people chemistry. and by chemistry, i mean the academic subject where you learn about atoms.

The new mdapps layout is driving me crazy. I can no longer casually click on someone's link in their profile and expect to quickly see the information I want to see. 🙁

no, actually was the right word. the girls are so outnumbered in this thread that we often just have to put up with you guys and pretend to be amused or cutely annoyed by whatever you say... but sometimes things cross a line. IMO, that comment did. :shrug:

that reminds me, other day i was tutoring this girl and she was absorbing my electrons really quickly so i got excited and emitted some photons on her d orbitals. talk about being a little quarky
