1. east. freaking. coast. why do people in this thread have such a hard time understanding that? 😎

2. some of us are not in college anymore. and have jobs. that require us to get up at normal hours. personally, i don't think getting up at 7:30 is getting up "early."

Not me! First interview is this friday :scared: I won't be getting back until Sunday and then there's my first Biochem test on Monday.... Since we're behind in class...I'm assuming my Biochem teacher is going to try and lecture about 3 chapters in two days.... YAY! 👍

Tough week ahead. Slept in today and going wakeboarding later. Basketball game tomorrow. Golfing wednesday and friday. Watching college football/tailgating saturday. Flying to Vermont on Sunday for my interview Tuesday. Really rough schedule.

I was. Most of the people in my lab who knew Annie Le are out of town for an Orthopaedics conference with the exception of a few who knew her very well. Annie worked for my current PI back in 2007 and this place is just a little depressed right now to say the least.

In the mean time I've got to get my work done to leave for GW today (interview Tues.) and then on to a Wednesday Wake Forest interview. I'll be back on Thursday but I have a feeling things around here just won't be the same for a while.

Sad times.
 
Crappity crap. Baylor can't give me a student host. Yay, I have 3 days to find a hotel!!! 👎

I guess I could always stay with my godmother, but she lives like 30 mins north of Houston - that would probably be a bad drive in the morning with traffic.

So how did you people that did the Priceline name your own price thingy get the Marriott or other TMC area hotel for like $45/night or whatever?
Maybe I'll just drive back on Friday night instead, just to save $$$.

haha, first i have to say i have no sympathy for people with interviewing complications. just jealousy. 😉

but i love priceline name your own price. LOVE IT. there's no guarantee as to which hotel you'll get. you pick your star level and area and enter a price and it's like a bid which any of their participating hotels can accept if they choose to. i think they do a good job monitoring their participating hotels, because i've never gotten a bad one. but if one person got a certain hotel for a certain price it's likely you'll get the same one. but you better do it soon or you wont be able to get one at all!

anyway good luck and be sure to enjoy and not take it for granted. 🙂 i tell everyone i don't believe in top choices but . . . if i got a Baylor invite . . . it would be beyond amazing

they have a semi optional take at home exam system

you can take it anytime you like on your home computer. pretty cool. my close friend is a ms2 there. amazing location great ppl the dorms are nice

no really it's ok. I see how the way i worded it could be misinterpreted by all the people who post on this thread . . . i think the average # of interviews for people posting in here is like twelve 🙄

I'm with ya Mary Lennox... still absolutely nothing from any school besides a hold from GWU. Hoping that this changes sometime this week.
