False.Also, coffee is gross
last nights office epi was hilarious... i was laughing so hard at dwight's game
Woo!!!
Also, coffee is gross
omg, seriously. i was cracking up at so many things-- kevin's shoes, michael sleeping next to the vending machine, andy's injury, kevin's toupee, michael's "toast," the wedding procession... so many things.
Doesn't it have very little caffeine?Yeah, it's a French thing, as are most things here.
Also, doesn't chocolate already have caffeine? Is it just like adding more?
Perfect because I'm going to have to call in sick for my 3rd day of work to go to an interview. I'm planning out how I should do it now.Everyone is calling in sick today!! My first class this morning only had about 1/2 the people there. 'Tis the season, I s'pose...
Coffee is gross, and I can never sleep after I drink it. I do like oversweetened, cream filled frapachinos though. I just never get them to avoid becoming addicted to the starbucks drug.Who doesn't life coffee??
I'm a total coffee addict. 1 large iced americano, black with no room for cream, every morning from a local coffee shop. Mmmmm... 🙂
haha so true....

What, Angels and Dodgers isn't interesting enough for you?
Unbiased view:
For Chicago, it's essentially where you grow up, but this varies.
Northsiders/north suburbs normally like the Cubs because their team is located in the north part of Chicago. Southsiders/south suburbs normally like the White Sox because that's where they are located. This is often passed down through the family. I grew up on the northside but my dad was a southsider so I was raised a White Sox fan.
Biased view:
If you know what baseball is and like winning, you are a White Sox fan.
If you like having a night on the town and a baseball game happens to be going on and don't mind a century long world series dry spell, then you are a Cubs fan.
😛
i didn't decide; i was born this way.
i also have a question for yankee fans-- how do we feel about the sox losing last night? on the one hand, i hate them and love watching them lose. on the other hand, we are very good at beating them, and the angels are yankee killers. i don't especially want to face anaheim in the alcs. thoughts?
👎yeah, after i posted that i was browsing box scores from the last month or so of the season... the yankees ROCKED anaheim a couple of weeks ago. that was solid and gives me confidence.
as far as the NL, i think i'm rooting for the phillies. because they're like the cubs-- historically sort of pathetic, so you get excited when they actually play well![]()
👍ya im cautiously confident too, the team just "feels" different this year-like back to the great team we had in the late 90s as opposed to the last few years when they havent been very cohesive as a unit and seemed to be relying too heavily on just a couple players.
i think im rooting for the rockies in the nl, just cause the phillies won last year and i dont like the cards/dodgers. i dont care too much though as long as the yanks can crush them if we make it all the way to the world series🙂

as far as the yankees/mets thing
I was raised in Queens, so theoretically I should be rooting for the Mets. Whenever I started following baseball (around 10/11), the Yankees started to make their run. They were the more exciting team from 97 on.
I was huge fan of Tino/Paul/Bernie. I didn't like Chuck though. No one did. Scott Broscious was cool too. Tino was definitely on the juice.
Anywho, for our generation, its more likely that we would be all about the Yankees just because they won a lot more. They should have won that series against the diamondbacks after 9/11.
I think last night's It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia went hard too
Bored... I think this thread slows down whenever I get on. 🙁
start drinking... probably around 8 or 9. Then wake up at 4 and drink some more. Head over to College Gameday around 5:30ish and hang around until taping at 9. When it finishes around 11, go back and take a nap. Start all over again and head to stadium around 4ish. Sounds like a plan. LSU v Florida!
I'm bored too. I'm in my Research Methods class... Looks like most people decided to bail today in this class too. 5 people are here. Out of 40.
Anybody have exciting plans for the weekend?
Imma study all weekend. F'n biochemim going to sleep this entire ****ing weekend 🙂
Grats JJ. 🙂
Haha I was so confused about the random giant 3000 photos but I got it now. 😛

Cause we don't like you.
My plans probably don't seem as exciting as metallica's, but they are similar.
Tonight - High school homecoming game with bff from high school, then a "slumber party" at my apt. 🙄
Tomorrow - practice from probably 8 AM until 3 PM (yes, 7 hours of practice, kill me now please), an hour to get ready, marching to the stadium, pregame show (which will be soooo awesome), watch LSU beat up on UF, practice during the entire 2nd quarter 🙂(), halftime show, watch some more LSU domination, march back to the band hall, walk home, sleep (unless maybe my friends are drinking, but I probably still wouldn't want to drink then)
Sunday - sleep until the afternoon, homework. End of weekend.
Question for dw and other Yankee fans: How do you decide between liking the Yankees and the Mets? Same thing goes for people from Chicago, if there are any.
wow practice during the 2nd quarter. terrible
What do you guys think about Obama winning the Nobel Peace Prize? I think it's a little ridiculous, personally.

I wonder if any commentator, anywhere on the political spectrum, will offer a genuine straight-faced defense or case for this prize. Whoever does will no-doubt win next year's Nobel Prize for literature.

Problem with it is, as Yoda and Spursy have pointed out elsewhere. He had to have been nominated for the NPP within a few weeks of his inauguration, meaning he really hadn't done much to deserve it. He just got elected. 43 people before him have done that. So why does he get it?
Just did a search... he is the 4th prez to get it, but I'm sure the other 3 (Teddy Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, and Jimmy Carter) had a bit more substantial reasons to get it their year, but maybe not. I don't really know.
Yeah. He shouldn't have won. He hasn't even been president for a year yet and hasn't really done anything "peaceful".
This was one of the subjects of my lol@ the nobel prize in the 2013 thread.
Yesterday Obama voiced his support for more war in Afgahnistan. Today he wins the Nobel Peace Prize😕.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but Al Gore deserved it more.
And Al Gore, with his energy bill probably $10,000, didn't deserve it one bit.
