btw, have any of the schools you guys have withdrawn from told you you have to write a letter to them and sign it? i thought it was kind of amusing because what are they gonna do if i don't follow their directions...reject me?🙂

the only reason i could think of is to verify that its really you that wants to withdraw and not some crazy premed trying to sabatoge you haha😛 but i mean someone could still write a letter and forge a signature so who knows?

I just got a notice from a school telling me that. I don't know if I want to go to the trouble to send a letter. I probably will so I can open up my spot for others.

Are you withdrawing after an acceptance? I can see them wanting a letter for that.

But if you are simply canceling an interview and/or withdrawing your app from further consideration, I would not accommodate them with a letter. Too much trouble when you are doing them a favor - and these schools don't seem to have any problems with rejecting applicants via email...email should suffice.

Yeah, only 1 school. I did it...but I also took longer to send it to them (cause I kept forgetting about it). So...*shrug*

just cancelling an interview. eh, i did it anyways just to make them happy
 
It must be nice going on interviews now and not having to wait for some specific set date in the future (Oct 15th). It could just happen anytime, so no need to stress too much about it.

maybe only the super picky schools act that way? because if they decide they like you, they reeeally want you to actually come, so they need to make sure they were really nice to you when you visited? dunno.

What an awesome thread this is! To bring it back on topic, I managed to draft Bargnani, Brooks, Ryan Anderson, Blatche and Randy Foye with my late round picks. Now the hard part is to package them into the right offer and pick up another stud. This is a $40 a person league and I am feeling good about the rest of the season.

lol i'm not against the fantasy league chatter -- I don't think we got to 750+ pages talking about med school the whole time. The less interesting, the less time I spend on this out-of-control forum 😀
 
Do any of you know the song "haven't met you yet" by Michael buble? I'm a little more than obsessed with it right now.
 
i really couldn't care less whether people talk about the fantasy league goings-on or not etiher, but i did need to take up some form of mission for the afternoon! though, i'm formally chaning my mission to leave work early and make smores. yummm 🙂

How late is late? Because our league is 18 players, so Bargnani went in the 4th round here. Late round picks for us were the likes of Jared Dudley and Jason Kapono.

Unless you let me declare things like shoes, shopping, and male actors unmentionable too (and even then, I'll still probably talk about fantasy 😀)
