I met a guy with 3 kidneys once. He didn't know he had 3 of them until he came in for a Urology consult.

Some people have 4 kidneys...

:scared:

4 kidneys?? All full-formed and functioning??

south beach was sweet, quite a few hot topless chicks. i tried to hit on a couple, unfortunately they all have "boyfriends", i wonder what turned them off so quickly, could it be my asking "can i take a picture?"

BTW, my interviewer kept on pushing me to apply to MD/PhD. I told him sure to kinda just please him(although the full tuition with stipend thing IS pretty tempting). Then after the interview when I was waiting in the admissions office to be led to lunch, he brought the director of admissions over to talk to me about MD/PhD. I was like WTF, dude's serious. So we talked about the advantages like the free tuition and stipend thing for a while. Then after a few minutes later, they came back and told me how I was almost certainly to receive 20k of merit scholarship anyway so the free tuition thing might not be quite as enticing. I was like wtf? then like SWEET! most auspicious sign immediately post interview ever.

lol right before everyone travels for thanksgiving wednesday

At least that gives you a good small talk ice breaker! The whole "Will you be going home for Thanksgiving?" or "What's your favorite Thanksgiving dish?" conversation...

lol, the tickets are like $500 (my interviews are monday tuesday, and its hard finding a cheap ticket after my interview ends on tuesday)

Pecan pie and sweet tea.

A la Trip Tucker (from Enterprise).

Sounds like a man who knows his Southern Thanksgiving! I wish my family cooked pecan pie and brewed some sweet tea... yum!

random fact...

Randy Foye has all of his organs on their opposite side. i.e. heart on the right, etc.

Situs Inversus

Yeah. Even more interesting, it runs with a bunch of other bad stuff. Check out Kartagener's triad. Basically, it can all be traced to having ciliated cells with defective cilia. The beating of the cilia are partially responsible for setting up your body's correct symmetry in embryology. Then when you get all grown up, the beating of the cilia are responsible for a bunch of other things. You are more likely to have chronic bronchitis and sinusitis because your cilia can't clear out all of your mucus, chronic headaches because the cilia in your brain don't circulate your cerebrospinal fluid, and infertility in men due to immotile sperm and ectopic pregnancy in women because of the cilia that guide the egg from the ovary to the fallopian tube aren't functioning right. Among other possible symptoms.

This was a big deal on our last exam, and I think it's cool 🙂

sweet. hi Fudge. and at my last interview, the final interviewer decided that if I worked in her lab, they would call me Frank.

Well good thing THAT'S not random 😛

You're strange.

You're just now finding this out?

All of mine have been at least that much.

Agreed. 10000x.

Everybody root for Brees to throw a few more TDs to Shockey and Colston not to catch any more. Also, root for Matt Ryan to throw some TDs. 👍

i kinda like turkey and stuffing but i'm a man

Oh man. Stuffing. I just got turned on to that stuff a few years ago, and now I'm never going back.

The best part of Thanksgiving, though, is my mom's homemade lemon meringue pie. I don't care if it's not "traditional," it's the best. 👍 And strangely enough, after that, I think my third favorite part is the rolls my uncle brings with tons of butter baked in on the inside.

Man. I can't wait already.

I guess I'm not familiar with reference 😕

And I'm not familiar with the dish either, but I'd love to try it. Most Jewish things I've had are good 🙂

I don't believe I've ever had challah before. What is it?

Challah is delicious.

Blue you are strange.

I am tired.

Goodnight all!

(Where is red? He hasn't tormented me in days...)

challah is egg bread. i'm guessing you guys are from areas without significant jewish populations?
I unwittingly lived in a Jewish dorm freshman year and we had a blast with challa. I came up with the lame joke of every time someone said it, I'd say "challa back, ya'll!" lol
