Is the med school environment any different than the undergrad? I felt like if I wasn't a part of greek life, I didn't belong.

I can't really find their coursework online either - what classes each year, etc.

From what you know of the program, what do you think is the best/worst thing?

I have two good friends who are MS3's at UF, neither was anywhere close to being Greek, and both are fitting in just fine.

Their curriculum is pretty standard block scheduling, nothing really innovative but nothing backwards either. Their testing is very much geared toward Board preparation. You take just about all your tests at the same place on the same computers that you would take Step I at. All questions are in USMLE format as well.

Best is definitely the excellent board preparation. Worst, IMO at least, is the very competitive nature(they grade on a curve and fail more students than most med schools).

I'm not sure how I feel about that curve. I guess we'll see how the interview goes. Still have to wait for January. Some people on SDN have been accepted, but others have said they wait until March to accept most people, do you know anything about that?

If that's how it is for him, that's how it is for him. Doesn't mean it will be that way for everyone. Also doesn't mean that it won't be like that for other people. It seems like some people who haven't had that experience are getting slightly defensive.
