Did you see the thread where the person just accepted into med school is going to start studying for the USMLE Step I?

I'm not totally crazy to think that it is WAY too early for that, right?

That thread is disturbing:laugh:. It wouldn't be any help to study for it anyways, 80% of the step I material is from MS2.

Haha. I had pretty much the reverse reaction.

"Ok, I need to royally slack off for the next 6 months because after that will be hell"

wow facebook is really creepy with how much the ad's know about you. i don't even have penn state in my proile or anything, but just from wall posts congratulating me on getting i keep getting ads for penn state fat heads, apparel, etc. not to mention that i always get the ad's saying i need to find a boyfriend since it knows i'm single😛

If you use firefox (and you should!), get Adblock Plus and you won't have to worry about ads again!

well i wasn't responding to ksmi's particular situation, or i would've quoted her instead of you. Anyhow, it's the way i deal with criticism, turning it into motivation for self improvement. it may not be for everyone, but it's my honest advice, and certainly not a shot to anybody.

every time, like when? the only thing i can remember was a sacrastic compliment i gave you when you wanted more interviews(as in "don't worry, you've already got offers/interviews from many great schools"), which obviously went way over your head. it's like you just assume that ppl are jealous of you and want to attack you. chill out.

haha, I know. Small potatoes, but college teams are using these things, too. Very curious. Do you think it actually works? Look at the fitting process for the "elite" line for more ridiculousness (check out the seismograph-like charts!) :laugh:

College teams are using them?? Seriously? How do those colleges pay for those mouth guards? And do they actually make much of a difference?

Apparently there are "no" independent scientific studies to say either way. But there is a large amount of anecdotal evidence (like that's worth something...) and apparently there is argument that the effect does not exceed that of a placebo... hmmm I just find it funny how "sciencey" they make it on their website!

seriously, I start confusing them all because they all seem the same. One thread I've been pleasantly surprised by is the USMLE Step 1 prep thread where that one guy was wondering how to start prepping for it and everyone gave him over-the-top sarcastic responses and he went off to go buy all the books... completely missing the sarcasm and leaving us all: 🤣
