Class of 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I really, really liked it and would have loved to go there. And the lunch was amazing.

But they apparently disliked me enough to reject me outright.

Cool. Sorry about the rejection. I liked it too, but I'm pretty worried about the whole changing curriculum thing.

Fixed 😀

Gotta post more. 😉

I didn't know how to tie a tie until August, and that was only because of interviews.

Same here.

Congrats NoSur!!!

And for those of you w/o NFL Network...

7-6 SF, Cutler has thrown 4 more picks and a Bears player has punched another player for the second time in two games.

placebo - really sorry to hear your awful travel/interview experience. i agree that if you really like the school, then take them up on the interview redux offer and make them know how much effort you put in to get there.

and dingy - 1 - why would you let a stranger tie your tie? apparently we've learned that sounding confident and acting like you know what your'e doing does NOT mean you can actually succeed in tie-tying. and 2 - how the h.. do you not know how to do that by now? i can tie a tie with my eyes closed.

goncrats stoney!

Why is it that so many women can tie ties? That's allways confused me.

thats pretty sad. does the Bears O line suck in general?

Congrats to lstone and notsur!!! Awesome, awesome news!!!!!!

So Boondock Saints 2 is decent. Clearly not as good as the first, but still decent.

I think I already have a good idea of what I'm going to say for the secondary, except for the autobiography. 1200 words for an autobiography?? That seems like a lot. I'll have to do some brainstorming tonight. Did you use up most of those 1200 for your autobiography ksmi?

1137 words. I'll send it to you if you want.

What did people think of UVa? I just interviewed there and I'm curious about what you all thought.

Cool. Sorry about the rejection. I liked it too, but I'm pretty worried about the whole changing curriculum thing.

That's how I feel. Awesome school, new building and curriculum worry me a tiny bit.

Thx! I'm still in shock! It was totally unexpected.

Woo!!!! 👍

Equilibrium was a good movie too, I discovered Christian Bale through it

Definitely was considering it. But I feel like I might actually really like the school, location, etc despite the fact that i'm EXTREMELY turned off by them right now.

I liked the place. It was nice. Plus I visited the beach area, which is nice too. I'd definitely study there if I go to EVMS.

haha yea, it's like last year when i interviewed at SLU. I was in the restroom and I noticed that my tie was a bit off, so I started fixing it a lil. There was a guy washing his hands next to me, and I kind of just ranted a bit saying how I hate ties. So he was like "oh I know how to tie a tie, let me help you with this." I was kinda skeptical, 'cause he looked like a janitor, but he sounded confident so I took my tie off and handed it to him. He promptly untied it and then "tied" it back together in like 3 steps. I was like "yo dude, that's not how you tie a tie." he kinda just shrugged and said "well idk how to tie it then, sry man" and left.

I was stunned, like "wtf am I supposed to do with this?" I ended up retracing the steps and sorta got it to look OK, but man, I'm never gonna rely on some fishy looking stranger to tie my tie

Jeez! What's with all the guys not knowing how to tie a tie?! I learned in 7th grade!

I'm officially part of the class of 2014!!!!

CONGRATS!!!

Also, CONGRATS LSTONE!! 😀

Boondock Saints 2 came out? When? I'm a HUGE Boondock Saints fan.

Why is it that so many women can tie ties? That's allways confused me.

Awww it's not so hard. I can tie ties too. There are some good youtube tutorials out there if you need help. 🙂

And he almost just threw his 5th

Last week. I think it might still be limited release though since Boondock Saints didn't have a huge following.

😍

As long as he doesn't talk.

Wait, why did you have to learn how to tie a tie? And how the heck did you retain that type of information?

Just watched the trailer... It seems... Interesting. I feel like Boondock Saints is one of those movies that shouldn't have had a sequel.

Same. I'm pretty significantly worried about it, actually. Between that and the tuition I'm considering withdrawing, but I think I'll sit on it until I actually get a decision.

like the matrix

idk, i felt the matrix needed(not just could've had) some sequels, it's just too bad that the sequels sucked.

as for the boondock saints tho, the brothers' becoming of saints is THE story, so I don't know how a sequel is gonna work.

the sequel was okay. it helps if you have absolutely no expectation of it being at all remotely good as you enter the theater

Duh. Because we're the superior gender! The better question is, why are boys so slow?!? lol

Couldn't agree with you more!

Because our dudes don't know how. I've been doing it for my little brother since we were kids. Now I tie my husband's tie for him the one or two times a year he needs to wear one.

I didn't need to learn, but I wanted to. I went to a catholic middle school and got one of the boys to teach me how to tie one.

I've retained it by tying my brother's and now my boyfriends ties. I also own a few ties, though I don't really wear them much.

I've never seen The Matrix. Does that make me weird?

+1

 I will admit I only learned to tie ties after I started living alone and thus had no female roommates or family members to do it for me.

Unfortunately, no one can be told what the Matrix is. You have to see it for yourself.

so, due to my sickness, i need to review mcat bio in two days...let's see if i can get it done
