I'm in Texas... it sounds like the people I was talking to might be misinformed, then... unless I thought they were talking of one thing and I was talking of something else...
 
so i'm drafting an update letter to columbia... and it's making me bang my head against my desk. i am so tired of talking about myself and bowing down to schools, telling them how perfect they are for me. can i please just start med school now. kthxbye.

Well, I guess, technically it is coming out this weekend, just in select locations (aka NY and LA)

EDIT: Wait, the 25th isn't even this weekend. lol
 
This is why they shouldnt name wings after professors that are not only still alive but still teaching at the school in which the wing named after them exists.. I cant get a conversation with they guy without him mentioning the wing 20 million times and how great it is.. ugh

I'm doing the same now. I'm going to send related interest letters to three schools, and I anti-love writing it.

How do you send an interest letter to a school without making it seem totally lame since you haven't changed anything since your app? I've just been interviewing and then catching back up with school. The only thing beneficial for me in a letter would be if I pulled a 4.0 this semester.

ya i'm having the same issue. i'm not even in school so there's really nothing to update them about.
 
1. i just bought these amazing little pedi-sock things to wear under my flats. they have pads in them... it's like walking on air! or having pillows strapped to my feet!

2. check out my haterz in the NYU thread. lawl.

I finished my master's degree, started a new job, and I'm moving up in the EMT world.

Hmmm, I wonder if I should update schools about my 11,294 posts on SDN. Only a handful of people in the world have 11,000+ posts on SDN. It's quite an achivement, I feel.
 
I'd like to say that I hate SDN.

People posting about acceptances via phone call then me freaking out cause my phone is not ringing. 🙁 This is not good for my health.

thats why I only follow 3-4 threads on the board -- this one, the bizarre interview moments thread, the worst answers ever thread, and my dream school's thread. The last one is enough to make me panicky -- I don't need the other 24.

About half of my posts are on this thread!! I used to post a lot more in the general allopathic pre-med board, but it seems a lot of topics are just repetitions of old threads I've already posted on.
