Class of 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Macs are overpriced and ridiculous. I absolutely love my PC.
I've never had a problem with any of my friends' Macs or the school's (I think like half of Emory's comps are Macs)
yet my barely 3 year old Dell has been givin me hell for 2.75 years of that time period.
girrrness

mine does...the useless piece of poooooo
I cannot wait to get a Mac

edit: or whatever Duke will want me to get

Ha. Gl with that. A bunch of my friends go to Duke Med. You "get" (and buy get, I mean you must buy them) those crappy, standard black IBM thinkpad laptops...unattractive

Eh, Nip/Tuck was okay tonight. It looks like it will be a better episode next week though.

I know. My medstudent host showed me hers. Perhaps they are open to persuasion though....I doubt that they would go for a Mac since the point of everyone having the same computer is that you have the same set of basic software... but a girl can dream

I've had issues, but it's still going. I do plan on getting an HP next year though, unless forced to get something else.

I don't think you'll see much of a difference, other than the fact that it's new and will have more powerful components. I'm actually looking at HP mini311 right now, though.

I love my mac. Call it overpriced, call it whatever. I'm not one of those "if you aren't into macs, then you're not as good as us mac people." I just want to say that I've had mine for 4 years, never had any problems besides my batteries crapping out, which apple replaced free of charge and argument-free.

4+ years of a computer still running strong, excellent customer service, awesome integration with my iPhone + iPod makes it worth it for me.

You can still get a mac. You can install windows and be good to go. The dream is here!

Taty, what was the "cat story" I heard about somewhere? I can't dig through all the pages I missed to find it 😳
Don't ask me how this came up during my student interview buttttt

I told her about how when I was 6 I took someone else's kitten and brought it home.
My mom tells me that when arrived home with the said kitten the look on my face said " if the cat goes, i go"...obv she gave in

my mom sewed professionally back then and one day the kitty (we named her Dasha) peed on her patterns....she got mad and kicked her out and told me that the kitty ran away.

I promptly returned to the place where I took her from the first time and brought her home with me again.

This story is a lot funnier when I actually tell it in person. I promise

Eh, I've got a desktop that's been running problem-free for 8 years now. I used it a ton during HS and now it's at my parents house. Most computers last if you take care of them.

haha...well I am pretty sure that the uniform laptop thing is pretty much a rule. I grew to be at peace with that.

I know. Just saying for macs in general, not even comparing against PCs, if anyone had questions about their reliability + customer services, I can vouch.

Apple = the Honda of computers 😀

I'm gonna be up till like 3 am doing laundry

edit: who's keepin me company?

... I'm confused.

What happened to the kid who you stole the cat from?
It wasn't a kid. The cat belonged to someone in a nearby neighborhood. I have no idea what happened to them-got another one I suppose.

My friends get really mad any time I mention this or the vintage vinyls story-I've even been threatened with bodily harm lol

Wow! Great story!!

Would an interviewer ever ask for your most embarrassing moment? I hope not, but I figure it's possible, right?

Mark Jackson just said on ESPN, for a made shot that came after the buzzer:

"operation success, but the patient died"

wow, he's an idiot.

Spurs, are you watching?

pooping my pants when I was 7

edit: that's gross! I would never say that.

Duh.

I'd like that question. It'd break the ice pretty well.

Except that my most embarrassing moment was telling a racially insensitive joke and then realizing I was surrounded by a gigantic group of the group I was disparaging. That might not be taken so well 😳

I wouldn't even know what to say to that one, I get into ridiculous situations on like daily basis-it would be hard to choose one:laugh:

my most embarrassing moment was skating onto the ice at a competition when i was 17 while still wearing my blade guards. i slipped (obv) and fell SO HARD on my ass that it took me a couple of minutes to walk it off and recover before i could go out and skate my program. the judges were laughing at me 😳

to add insult to injury, i came in 10th.

actually, i don't know if that's my *most* embarrassing moment, but it's the most painful one that came to mind!

Am I the only one who's most embarrassing slash only embarrassing stories are drunk ones?!? Smh, perhaps I need to do better

haha unlikely, i'm sure most people do their most embarrassing stuff when inebriated. personally i don't really get drunk... sometimes i have a couple of beers but i don't party hardy or whatever. so unfortunately my embarrassing moments are all sober, so i have no excuse for doing dumb things 😳

also i am a HUGE klutz despite the fact that i'm a dancer. this summer when i went to print out my passport pics for med school apps, i walked into the glass door on my way out of kinko's. i might have had a concussion, because i hit my head so hard that i vomited a few minutes later. this was in the middle of the work day. embarrassing.
