i think im gonna get rid of my apartment today!

thanks craiglist, i put up the ad on tuesday, people came to visit yesterday, and hopefully they wont put me on hold (they said they wanted to go sign today, but theres another couple that wanted to sign also).

btw, im on post-interview hold at Case as well. I think that makes it 1 acceptance, 6 holds/WLs (i just guessed a number)
 
I AM SO FRUSTRATED. Okay, I need to rant. I called Tulane just now to check on my status. I submitted my secondary on 9/10. I still hadn't received my complete notification, which I realize they take a while before sending complete notice out, so I wasn't too worried. Well, when I called, they told me they received my secondary YESTERDAY. I mean, really? Yesterday? They told me that I was just now complete, and they would send my application to be reviewed. I am just so completely frustrated right now.

Yes, yes. But this is simply ridiculous. I almost feel like it's a waste of money because by the time they get around to actually looking at my application, the entire class will probably be filled. There are no words to accurately describe how I feel right now.
 
dont let this process throw you off stoney. its kinda tougher said than done, i guess. but once you get your acceptance soon, you will kick push coast

whats the OOS tuition, my interview is in late january, i heard the class is filled by then. I lived in louisville and my parents worked at the school there and I kinda like it there.

Gotcha. It just didn't make sense to me that you were striking at UofL and not UK. It makes sense now. It is super pricey and they do fill up easy...

By the way, here's what me and my friends do to the schools that spite us...give them new, disgraceful names.

Wake Forest = Weak Forest
Pittsburgh = Sh**sburgh
Georgetown = Whoretown
Vanderbilt = Slanderbilt / Vanderbit** / Lame-der-bilt
Tulane = Tool-lane

has anyone taught at a community college before. i'm thinking of teaching like bio/chem/phys 101 there or something. i wanna be like that dude from Community (the asian guy that went to UNC med)

dude that's awesome. how do you go about getting a job like that?
 
i would guess NYC colleges would be tough. but in jersey in west pennsylvania, the community colleges have a tough time finding people to teach, so you can just email HR and be like, "yo here be my experiences and i'm tryin to drop some knowledge in your low budget classrooms"

one of my friends is doing peacecorps in Niger right now. she sends me emails about things that are going on. Sometimes (PC) people get kidnapped and stuff. pretty intense. her emails are kinda long tho, so i kinda dont read it at times. i feel bad

Yeah, that sucks, but this whole process sucks. I applied last year to a limited number of schools (didn't know better, didn't research, applied "late", etc). One school put my app on hold until Fall semester grades were in. I sent them an email as well as an official transcript early Dec. I called numerous times to check to make sure they received everything. I was yelled at, hung up on, you name it. Apparently they don't confirm receipt until you have an interview. Turns out they accidentally left me on hold thru March and by the time they got things straightened out, the best they could say was, "Sorry. Apply next year and you should be fine." (sidenote: applied as early as poss this yr there and have heard nothing...lil' liars)

Accidents happen. Just be grateful yours was caught early enough to still have a shot. Personally, I love Tulane. Apparently, their admissions office has some kinks, but you might be surprised how quickly things go from here. Still, you deserve a good scream!
