i'm hoping that if i can survive this module (done after this test) with no time to study the weekend before the 1st test and having the flu since saturday leading up to our test tomorrow, the rest of med school will be a little smoother!🙂

I'm not sure what to do as far as reptiles go. I kind of want another one, but then I don't at the same time. I probably just won't do anything until the exotic pet show comes around in late May and I can make a decision then without having to also worry about school (at least I think so).
 
I would really like it to stop raining. I can't remember a day that it didn't rain for the past 2 weeks. Or at least a day that the sun was actually out a majority of the day.
 
I've been so tired and out of it this week. I haven't taken a single nap since school started! That's just wrong.

I know, seriously! It's very sad.

I'm starting to get sick of the whole med school routine already, so I'm trying to find ways to spice things up. Also, the weather here is driving me crazy. It's hot and disgusting outside but it's a freakin freezer in the lecture hall. I can't wait for fall...hooray for cuddly sweaters!

How was your trip up north?
 
I hate the routine too. That's why I've been going out like every night and not studying. Then I get behind and forget to do stuff.

In a serious funk right now.

But I did go to ballroom dance club today and that was super fun!

Also, embryogenesis was boring and I don't want to study it.

But I don't miss club dancing :laugh: We get that every weekend at least 2x 👍

I just got my High Yield Embryology book today and that thing is awesome. I've almost caught up on 2 weeks of embryo lectures in about an hour.

That is true. I wouldn't mind Cleveland's summer weather but keeping our winter weather.

It's not bad once you get used to less sleep. I've been going out during the week sometimes even during 3rd year. Just makes you manage your time better! 6 am comes early.

I'm still working on that part. Hoping to get myself used to 6 hrs right now. I'm kind of stuck on needing 7 hrs right now.

I've been trying to do the same. But even if I give myself only 6 hours to sleep, I just sleep through my alarm until I get 7-8 hours, so I end up running late to class.
 
Woot guys! It's finally starting to click! I had a great study session with two people. It was awesome.

Also, I'm finally visiting NYC for the first time this weekend! Ahhhh

nope, nor the recommended 5-billion dollar diagnostic kit (estimated price), or the $150 leather "doctor bags" to put them it. bah!

but I did sit at home and listen to my heart for a bit. cuz i'm cool like that.

I saw Viggo Mortensen at Voodoo BBQ tonight. I didn't even recognize him, but my roommate kept trying to convince me that this guy was an actor. He went up and asked him and he said he was in History of Violence. Walking out, I realized "that guy was Aragorn in LOTR and I totally did not recognize him." :laugh:

I have to take notes for the class noteset tomorrow. 👎

🙁 Earlier this week, I finally got in bed before 1am for the first time since school started. I run on 6 hrs each day, no naps. I think I'm getting more used to it...instead of being half-asleep the first two hrs of lecture, I'm only 1/3 asleep!

Apparently I said that to dingy online last night...when I was really drunk.
 
I took a nap today, so I'm already behind on my noteset. It doesn't bother me too much that I got a lecture with a lot of info, but it bothers me that I have to have it finished by tomorrow night. They're not going to do anything about it on a Saturday during Labor Day weekend anyway, so I don't understand why it couldn't wait until Sunday or Monday night. 👎
 
What do you mean by this noteset thing, and why Saturday?

Yeah.

I'm a notetaker in the notetaking service, so I'm responsible for 1-2 lectures per test and I don't have to pay the $300 for the notes. We're assigned them and I just happend to get assigned the arm and forearm Gross lecture on a Friday, which means I have to turn it in by tomorrow night. It's just a bad combination of timing and a very detailed lecture, so hopefully it doesn't happen this way again.
