Class of 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I think I'm a fan of the sporadic test strategy, but it's also a total crapshoot for the first one. It's been 3 weeks and I have no idea if what I'm doing is even working and I won't find out until after the tests, which might be too late.

You only slept an hour last night?! 😱

But yeah, the practical was sooo much better than last time. Much more straightforward in my opinion.

ya, i didn't study at all the previous 2 weekends, so i had to really pick it up this week!

I hear ya. Gah!

Anyone else ever have that sinking feeling once they realize they got specific questions wrong while thinking over a test you just took? 😳

Hah, yea, I've been thinking of the questions I got wrong over today's test, missed two embryo questions for sure 🙁

you dont have exams from the past and ****?

Other people do, but the ones I got were quite disorganized so it would actually be a waste of time to go through them because I could be studying during the hour or two it would take for me to sort out the ones I need.

I'll try and get them from someone else since I'm pretty sure there's an electronic copy.

Giada is great background study TV. i need to dvr that ****

I use the Smooth Jazz music channel on my digital cable. It's awesome.

Hungover right now. I'm not going to get **** done today. This post-exam celebration doesn't top the one for my first exam though. 🙂

Pics please!

Little study break.

I'm taking a day off from anatomy entirely tomorrow (since we don't have lab for the first time in forever) so that my brain can rest and get a slight change of pace. It will also help since I haven't touched Histo at all, so I can start doing that.

I ended up taking a study break today. We have a huge Histology test on Monday that I should be studying for, but I just couldn't muster up the motivation to do that. Instead, I spent the afternoon cleaning, running errands, napping, paying bills, and just catching up on life in general.

which part of the body are you guys working on now?

you should name it gordon....gecko

we are done w/ the lower limb now. so we have thorax/abdominal cavity/peeeeenis/head and neck left

i think after head and neck, the hardest part is the forearms. who the **** knew there could be so many muscles in that little space

Sure as hell not me.

But I have them down now (well except for the intricate details of actions). 👍

I heard that pelvis has a lot of stuff going on.

yea. i remember i was kinda worried about the brachial plexus at first. but you can totally follow that stuff down the tip of your fingers (median/ulnar/radial).

i feel like i need a memento pen to draw the muscles into my body and ****. i have to get jacked like the netter drawings first

As one of my anatomy professors said, that's what 90% of your patients will look like.

Brachial plexus is nothing compared to remembering which freaking nerve roots do each muscle. I tried to go all conceptual for that after I learned the brachial plexus but it's not. It's just complete rote memorization. :lame:

its already getting kinda cold here. i need to hit up new orleans or miami or somewhere south this winter

Yea, we just had a test on that, we did upper extremeties + lower extremeties, those are a biatch too, mostly because the thighs have so many more muscles than the arms.

Well I will not be looking forward to that.

-Mandatory stuff during my sleeping time makes me😡.
-I thought the leg was better than the arm. It's easier to see the larger structures.
-I'm going with Zeke for the name.
-I ate ice cream for lunch.
-This week is going fast.

Yup. We have a mandatory meeting before histo tomorrow to make sure our laptops work before our tests. I'm not looking forward to waking up even earlier than usual and then have to go to class I wouldn't otherwise go to.

Yeah, lame. Skipping histo today was a good idea and I'm using the lab to catch up a bit.

Lunch time.

Got a ticket to the LSU-Mississippi St game!

:soexcited:

Now to figure out the logistics of Saturday and how that will alter my study plan... 😕

Ha. Study until you are allowed in the stadium. Once inside the stadium, study until kick-off. After kick-off studying during our offensive drives due to the inevitable 3-and-outs. Watch the game only when the defense is on the field.

this is most likely directed towards brook, met, and bender...

why in the hell did reggie bush give up his heisman? even if he received illegal benefits he was still the best offensive player in the country that year.

Makes it look like he was in control of the decision. Kind of like quitting before getting canned.

I hate USC, but good for Reggie. the NC$$'s got some issues of its own.

i like the guy that was like, we are leaving the heisman vacant because we don't know how people would have voted if reggie wasn't on the ballot.

they probably would have voted for vince young, but okay
