Class of 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
this is most likely directed towards brook, met, and bender...

why in the hell did reggie bush give up his heisman? even if he received illegal benefits he was still the best offensive player in the country that year.

Makes it look like he was in control of the decision. Kind of like quitting before getting canned.

Bender's answer pretty much sums up my opinions. It also makes him look better. He knows he won it anyway (even though I think VY should have won based on the Rose Bowl).

lebron james 6th most hated athlete in the world. pshhh, **** that guy

Amazing how "taking your talents to South Beach" can bring you from loved to hated in about 30 minutes.

Anyway, I'm taking my talents to bed. 😴

yea, he's still 3rd most popular. tiger is #2 hated (but he's still the most popular at the same time)

these are some half-ass polls

I do not like microanatomy. Just sayin'.

Neuro is pretty sweet though.

There is absolutely nothing new and exciting in my life that is not med school related... That fact should probably make me sadder than it does. All in all, life is pretty sweet 🙂

Oh - I did get a gazelle to start working out at home. So now I'm back on the exercise wagon.

It's sad that I'm going to have to give up day drinking/going out on school nights for the next week and a bit. Must learn anatomy. But after the test, not only can I drink heavily, but I can forget all the thorax and abdomen FOREVER (or at least until Step 1). 🙂

Oh yeah, did my first patient interview/presentation ever today and got totally reamed by my preceptor. The fourth years said that we did good though, and they were actually watching us do the interview and such.

My preceptor's teaching tactics are unfair at best. I'd go into all of what happened, but it's just so ridiculous that it's funny.

I have no idea how you guys have the time to keep up with this forum and all the other things you have to do. o.o

technically, the heisman is awarded to the best student athlete, he wouldn't be one if he's getting paid.

i like the guy that was like, we are leaving the heisman vacant because we don't know how people would have voted if reggie wasn't on the ballot.

they probably would have voted for vince young, but okay

lol yea, VY woulda won hands down.

hiii luun🙂 we should get together again sometime soon! i went back to the place we went for dinner yesterday for lunch and got a mushroom and goat cheese sandwich...it was delicious.

we're starting a service learning class tomorrow where we get matched with a group in the community then teach them about health related things once a week for 8 weeks. I'm with preschoolers-I'm really excited🙂

I did my first patient interview thing today, went pretty nicely! One guy had the roof fall on his head, then a woman with a pretty badly broken foot, the x-ray looked nasty ~_~

Just came back from an Indian buffet. 👍

Good way to reward some anatomy studying today. There's still soooo much I need to learn, and that's not even counting embryo and histo.

:scared:

Haha we should! My first block of exams start Friday though, so I'm pretty booked until then. Maybe we could go to the zoo like we had planned one weekend. 🙂

Yay kids!

it helps that this board moves pretty slowly these days 😀

True I guess. I forget to visit here though.

Caught up with anatomy today with BRS and up to the noteset we have. I did cutouts for the back and spinal cord.

Goals for the weekend, get through all of the histo notes and do cutouts through the upper limb during the LSU game, and maybe head to the lab for a day to look at a bunch of body's brachial lexus and arms ... and a working right lung since my body has a messed up one.

I did some cutouts for back and spinal cord today and they were okay. The brachial plexus ones just seem kind of ridiculous to me, and I thought I had a pretty good handle on that stuff.

Taking my Block I exams in a few hours. Starting to pull my hair out and curse my career choice

anyone have a copy of SPSS I could borrow or get it on the cheap? (legitimately) lol

What does ~_~ mean? I've always been meaning to ask...but never did.

Trader Joe's has awesome frozen Indian dinners!

I have to study a lot this weekend. 🙁

Me four.

What is that?

I think the nearest Trader Joe's is probably about 12+ hours away.
SPSS is statistical software. The first task my researcher charged me with was finding a way to get it... cheaply, lol It's around $300 for a 4-year license. I found some other prices, but free is always better than not-free, lol

you need one for your lab? if not your med school libraries should have it loaded on their computers. There is no way you are gonna get that software free for academic use legitimately. There are always other methods... but in a research setting, i would not recommend it

I'm almost positive I have more to catch up than you do, so 😛

Why are we on here talking? Epic fail.

-but GT always has one inexplicable loss per year

If I didn't need the computer to look at powerpoints, I would be a much more efficient studier.

And with that, I refuse to post on SDN for the rest of the weekend (I think..)

Agreed with the legitimate use part, that's why I'm trying to ask around if anyone has a license that hasn't run out yet. I may have found someone on FB, lol

Oh, and our med school library... I don't know if they have much of anything. 😡

I'm going to be studying ALL weekend too. I seriously underestimated how much time it would take to study Histology.
This weekend is ALL histology for me. Wonderful weekend in front of slides. Any suggestions on how to best go about studying for histo?

Haha, beats me! I'm just studying my lecture notes (re-watching lectures too) and going over our lab powerpoint slides.
