Class of 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
You just took the MCAT right? I can't remember... 🙁

I was supposed to take it last March ('08), then had some stuff come up, so pushed it to the summer... More stuff came up... Pushed it March ('09). Then I just outright wasn't ready to get the score I wanted, so I pushed it June 18th. That's the final date!! Rain, snow, or shine I'll be there. 🙂

Ah. I see. You'll rock it I'm sure. :luck:

matriculated means those that actually went to the school..
so how could u estimate of the interviewed OOS how many were accepted??

like say 26 OOS were interviewed... 1 matriculated...

georgetown and GWU received 10,000+ applications 😱

You're best bet for accepted numbers is the US News and World Reports Ultimate Guide to Medical School. It's a year behind, but still very informative.

What school? I have the book right here I can tell you what it says.

I was looking at Arizona, but it was more of a general question

Yeah, I was wondering about that too. Good thing we have 0Complications to help us out. 🙂

btw, we need a way to abbreviate 0Complications... it's too long to type.

This is for the entering class of 2007:

They offered 13 interviews and accepted 6 with a total of 2 matriculating.

UofA is not a wise OOS choice.

I figured it was a more general question, so if you have a specific question about a school just let me know. I'll give you the info from the book.

Or it's a cheap pickup at B&N.

ha ha. I don't care what you call me... As long as you mean it. 😉:meanie:

Georgetown OOS #'s:

Applied:10,583

Interviewed:1,213

Accepted:362

Matriculated:179

George Washington Univ:

Don't give that info... On out vs. In state...

But they accepted 171 OOS and only 6 In state that year (unless that was a typo).

Remember, this is for 07's entering class, but the numbers don't change much.

Can anyone with the MSAR book tell me what the OOS interviewed % is for the four UT schools?

So DataWhore was right. UT Houston interviewed almost 16%. What the heck was elijah looking at?

UT-D seems the most OOS friendly

how many of you pick schools for location?
i know you're not supposed to do that and you should pick schools for quality of education...bla bla...
but i think im primarily choosing schools based on location

0C (I like it), just curious... did any OOS people get into the LSUs? How many applied?

Sounds very Californian, but whatever. I don't have to type it. 🙂

Remember that picture of the swamp they had on their website, that said if you don't see this out of your back window you're not a resident?

I'm going to say they are pretty close to zero OOS.

Unfortunately, they aren't listed in USN. I don't even think LSU is in the MSAR.

The data I posted was for the entering class of 2007. I think the current MSAR is for the entering class of 2008.

OOS at Tulane on the other hand is:

Applied:6109

Interviewed:593

Accepted:265

Matriculated:136

I know that Shreveport doesn't take any OOS. But NO does very rarely. Both of them are in the MSAR. I've seen them. But they are only relevant to crazy Louisiana kids like me. 🙂

Yah, it got even higher for 2008.

Nice. I think they have so few apply because they have to go through the Texas application system. So looks like you have a pretty good shot there.

You guys have it made. I wish Colorado was like that. It's at least as hard if not harder to get into school in CO than it is a California MD school.

Applicant data:

Accepted data:

CO students get hosed on this one.

Yes!!! Mississippi yet again saves Louisiana from being last place in applicants.

ahh the south. the armpit of the industrialized world

This is true, but for some reason they seem to have beautiful women blossoming out of said armpit... How does that even work!?

Come on bro! Eating that protein crap should at least put you at 150.

Because we're Southern belles. Our whole job in life is to look pretty. Forget being smart, school is for ugly northerners. :meanie:

4500 to go!

University Program.👍

What's the difference between the two programs at Case? Is it like Harvard's HST and New Pathway?

I know I could probably find this online somewhere, but I don't want to get that distracted while I'm doing my HW.
