Class of 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
It's alright. Not everyone can be as amazing as us. Maybe one day. 😉

When the c/o 2015 thread officially starts, I'll make sure its just as good as this one or better.

Deal. As always, I will lead you lost, confused 2014ers in the right direction. What would you do without me?

Without your awesome mod power and guidance, we would never get into medical schools.🙂

Dude, she looks like she's going to mount something...

Sorry 0C, Blue wins me over tonight. Better luck next time. 😉

That was my plan all along. Once you spend one night with someone else you'll never want to leave me again. 😉

Sweet! I finally got my AC set up! I put up a fiberglass window so that I could frame it around my portable AC hose and It's working like a charm!!!

Well, actually... I probably shouldn't admit this, but at first it wasn't expelling the hot hair out of the window. It kept bowing the fiberglass window treatment I put in and expelling hot air back into my apt. So i was checking all the seals and couldn't figure out what the hell was wrong with it...I tried to set the hose at different angles and add more weather sealant to new window I made, but it wasn't working... Then... :smack: I realized I forgot to open the real window behind the new window I just made... 😳

Well, now with the 'real' window open it works like a charm!!:banana:

Man, I'm gone 24 hours or so and return to all sorts of stripping and mounting ....🙂

Morning kids.

Math modeling of bio systems @ 7 AM is counteracting the effects of coffee. I am about to take a nap on the key board.

Just found out I need to get a 97 on the final in this class to get an A. YYYYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYY. :barf:

Catching up on this thread is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay easier than catching up on 2013.👍

So is anyone else graduating this spring and planning on working over the next year?

I'm interviewing next week for research positions, and I don't know what approach to take on the "future/long term plans/availability" questions... I doubt anyone will be willing to hire me once I mention that I'll most likely only be available until August 2010. On the other hand, I'm interviewing for positions within the medical school of my state university, so I don't want to burn any future bridges by not being upfront in the beginning.

Thoughts, opinions? 😕

Some labs, especially academic ones, are ok with that. It really depends on the PI though. This one even salaried me!😀

So you told them your limitations when interviewing?

The positions I'm interviewing for are in clinical research, basically acting as a coordinator for the PI. I get the feeling they are looking for someone more long term, versus what might be in expected for a lab tech working in basic research...

So I woke up today with this awful sore throat. Just talked to my mom and her friend's son also felt this way a few days ago, and he'll be getting out of the hospital tomorrow. Awesome. Not that I think I'm that sick, but still... Finals start in like 4 days. Not a good time, not at all.

just to defend my homage: FPS's are awesome. strike that, counterstrike is awesome. beyond awesome.

I did, but I started as a student/intern and then graduated to salaried contractor, but I'm a lab tech; I suspect that's less involved than a clinical research coordinator.

Probably. Sigh... I don't know what to do...

Thanks for the input though.
