well, if it makes you feel any better, while all my information is in the AMCAS, I guess you could consider it a 'rough draft' as I'll likely go through it and make sure it sounds all nice and spiffy before I submit it for verification. but I also type fast and have mastered the ability to type in courses (second time this month!). perhaps I will bomb this final and all will be right on the pre-med karma scale?

Yeah, I'm having all my letter writers submit to Interfolio, then I'll submit to AMCAS from there. That way I'll still be able to cover schools not on AMCAS' list. Not to mention, I know how Interfolio works and so do my writers. It makes for a smoother experience. IMO

Did you accidentally fill out the '09 app first? I did that last year... Didn't actually apply, but I miffed it the first time.

actually, I did fill out parts of the '09 one a few weeks back just to get a look at the process-at-large. but the actual filling of courses I did in the AACOMAS. I haven't submitted it nor is it likely I will at any point, but it came up before the AMCAS and the idea of applying to any medical school was too tempting to pass up. I will say, however, the aacomas gives you your calculated GPAs (non-science, science, and cumulative) without needing verification which was nice.

So someone i used to know sort of an aquaintance not a friend met someone online. He started "dating" her and over the next year and then he bought her a wedding ring and the a bunch of other ****(1000s of dollars of items). Finally he goes to meet her and guess what, shes nothing like advertised or her pics, she was some crazy goth chick and she just jacked him for a ton of stuff ahah....gotta love it.

Same boat about preferring MD. There is, however, a new DO school that opened up close to me in-state (Lincoln Memorial), which I have heard is quite nice! At least in appearance, haha. One of my friends a year ahead of me that's accepted into an MD school also told me that while he did apply to LMU, he never filled out the secondaries - but a few months into interview season and after he had already gotten his acceptances, they let him know that he was guaranteed an interview if he filled out the secondaries! I guess they need people as they're new on the med school scene.

Some people manage to infer who people are off the info they post on SDN. (interview times, school they go to) and recoginze them at interviews and second looks.

something similar happened to my cousin
except everytime he tried to meet her after a few months
she'd end up dying.... lol
a "friend/parent" would call and say "she got into an accident...she's dead"
