um, i think projection would be if he projected his coping mechanism onto her, i.e. making himself think that she was not into him. so he wouldn't bother trying and possibly getting shot down. this actually isn't such a good example of a situation where someone would project something... whatever. i'll shut up. wikipedia (and intro to psych classes) is your friend.

I am writing paragraphs but not even approaching the limit. I am going to talk about the big picture a bit and the types of things we do. I do have a question about it though.
so My research I did as a volunteer last semester, and then presented it for my senior assignment (inter-departmental poster) I am first author. This summer I am being paid to continue the research. We are presenting the research at the neurobio conf in chicago (will I see any of you there). I am first author on that abstract as well. I assume we will probably publish our findings as they are relatively significant (found evidence of transcriptional feedback mechanisms in GluR receptors with AMPA homologs that have never been discussed). I am also doing research for credit this summer/next fall. How many activities should I list this as?

For the conference do you mean SfN? If so then I'll see you there!
