If you want the financial break FAP gives you on the primary app then yes you need to wait (I would). If not then no you dont. Also its noted on the app that you have FAP, if you dont wait until approved it wont show up, which could be a pain. Processing took me about 2 weeks, note that it may be longer becuase we are right in app season now, I was approved in like march. Should you wait well that depends on how rich you or your parents are. Are your parents footing the bill? If so then why wait? If you are doing it yourself and money is certainly an issue then wait dude trust me, submitting like june 18th or so because you wait for FAP isnt going to hurt your application. Also the savings you get are just sick. The 130 dollar fee is waived and you get 13 free schools saving you 533.00 alone on primary apps. 2ndarys are free literally...theres only like 10 schools that dont accept fap and most of them are small state schools that most people dont apply to. Only the univ of maryland doesnt accept fap that im applying to and thats 45 schools. You will save anywhere from 2-4k on secondaries. That sounds worth it to me 🙂
Also i just submitted but it says that amcas is waiting on my transcripts....which i dont get as they recieved my transcripts like 2 weeks ago? Is that just sort of what it always says when you submit regardless?
