So, for anyone who is interested (0C and tiedyeddog), Abita just came out with a new beer! It's called Summer Harvest Satsuma and uses real LA satsumas in a summer Belgian Wit style beer. So, if you like Hoegaarden, you like this beer. If you don't, then you don't like it. Very light and good for summer if you enjoy the Belgian Witbier style.
Went out to uptown NOLA tonight with my friends for the first time in forever, it felt good. Had an almost all Abita beer night with the exception of 1 Blue Moon in a combination of Abita Wheat (just in season), Satsuma, and Andygator. Good night, my friends, and talk to you tomorrow (or today)!

About a day and a half. Don't bother calling AMCAS though. They will say "AMCAS verification takes anywhere from 4-6 weeks." If you are lucky, someone polite will answer you. If you are not, then some douchebag will almost cuss you out.

Nice, man! I'll have to check it out. Newcastle is also putting out a summer ale in a month or so. CO is one of the first states to pilot it in the US. We'll be getting it for the Cherry Creek Arts Festival. Nothing like hot weather, art, and beer. 😀

I'm back!! Wow, it's been a while. Finally got my computer log-in at work (took forever!). And maybe soon i'll buy internet for at home. Waiting for the pay check, though.

I missed around 30 pages, way to much for me to read through. Anything happen I should know about?

There is a bar up here that carries tons of craft beers from around the country, I'll see if they have it. Thanks for the suggestion!

So, I'm thinking about adding another school. It's a reach, but it's only one and right now, I'm kind of thinking why the hell not. But I have like 2 weeks to figure it out.

That's awesome! Congrats. How many drugs did you have to know? I'm about to take an EMT test, and we only have to know like 10 drugs plus the basic ones that we already knew, but I really have to know how to use them because I'll be giving them unsupervised in a few months. 😱

At the bar last night we had 5 newcastles, and 5 or 6 vodka and sodas for $20. Now that's how drinking is done on a budget!

at happy hour here, they don't do hard alcohol. we stick to beer for $4 (half-price) for microbrews. we only either drink car bombs or long islands at the bar which is ~ $7- $15 per drink depending on the bar. our tolerance is pretty high so we usually pregame with a handle of goose (usually is good for 4 people) or whatever people rap about in songs nowadays. i know people will say goose is a waste of money but you can chug it straight from the bottle (no cups/shotglasses needed) and there is less of a chance of throwing up and no hangover.

for free drinks we usually hit AC

fun times. their drinks are watered down and we don't have that much money to gamble. we hedge our bets by playing roulettes. 1 on odds/evens, 1 on colors

Yes, I'm like 40 mins from the city. I'll hang out there occasionally but going out is expensive and not really worth it. I'm the nerd that goes for the museums.
 
its a friday! free museum admissions. at least to the MOMA and the natural history museum.
