if its scholastic, I think it's okay. honestly, I don't really have an award, so I just wrote about some random scholarship I received.
i was an all state pianist twice when i was 6 and 8. ive been playing since i was 5, but havent competed in like 8 years
you think that should be fine?
No way, I'd give 1350-1400 about a 35-36. I mean, we're talking a 1600=45 right?
4 here, but they are all mosnters like UCLA!!!. Ill be lucky to ge 2 done by monday...i have a lab final and report due on monday too.🙁

serious, now UCD, i bet its a monster too![]()
Got VCU's secondary today, that's 2/2 on screened!
I realized last night that when I submitted my SLU secondary, I put the credit card as a MasterCard when it's a Visa. I sent them an email but didn't get anything back today. Maybe it took it anyway?
I also forgot to mention something in my 'why UVA?' essay before I submitted - that my state school won't have a teaching hospital ready when I start my clinicals. Damn, that's one of my top choices, too.
wow im finding this UCD 2ndary really hard, way worse then UCLA...do UCs enjoy having the most involved and difficult secondaries in the country? lol. Its like UCSF is the only one who keeps it simple.
lol dude these questions suck so much, i found LA easy to answer but davis...sigh i hate questions like how do you envision your life as a physician...i dont know i envision uhh practicing medicine???? sigh. I guess they are looking for the rainbow and pupy dog answer of how helping people will be my worldHaven't even opend the email yet.![]()
I feel the same way. The most I've ever gotten was 2 on one day, and that was the first day AMCAS was available to schools.I'm sitting on 2, have submitted 6, applied to 20
I've been lucky bc i get them in spaced out periods so I can usually finish them the next day
now if only they could actually score runs.....😛hey jimmer, Jonathan Sanchez gets the league's first no-hitter tonite, with 11 strikeouts. Is Giants' pitching rotation the best in the league or what?😀

does being near the bottom of the league in rbis and runs scored mean you hit plentyGiants can hit plenty. 8 runs tonight is damn good.
tahts what i was saying, theyd be pretty sick if they could even be average in the offense dept in the playoffs with a staff like that. playoffs are all about pitching, and i think the giants win there hands down. I actually hate watching baseball why am i even talking about it lol. I enjoy baseball much more fastfowarded on espn or baseball tonight...all the action w/o 3 hours of boredom.😛If the Giants can even stay remotely in the Wild Card race, they will pick up a bat before the trade deadline.
If they're doing this well now without much hitting, think what they could do if they could hit.

stupid espn doesn't even cover the no hitter...i hate the east coast bias!
So ksmi, you decided to follow through with colorguard for the year?
I see you. I know who you are on those vids.![]()
There's no way you could find me on the first one. And even if I told you where I started, you wouldn't be able to follow me to the end. We move too much.

So theres not really a huge diff between the areas or the 2 hospitals? I just dont want to check one and then be like oops i hate the area lol. They are both just normal cities? Is one area super ghetto compared to the other?
Ive got like 22 and submitted 19 so far.
Fairfax is by no means a ghetto area.👍 There are tons of things to do, but you have to drive to all of them. Fairfax is one of those ginormous suburbs of DC. 😀
Received 16. Submitted 15/16. 12 more to hear from.
There's a difference in the areas, but no, neither is in a rural area, and neither is in a rough part of town. I mean, I'd consider downtown Richmond a little rough, but I'm a small town guy.
1060 = 25-26, 1160 = 28-29*
*My best guess.
I had a 1280 coming out of high school, and I wasn't even in the middle 50 percentile in my first year class of ugrad.
No way, I'd give 1350-1400 about a 35-36. I mean, we're talking a 1600=45 right?
Maybe we should be considering percentile tables. That'd probably give the best info, but I don't feel like looking it up.
I finally got my internet at home fixed!!!
Anyway, going back to an old topic -
Here's the thing: I sincerely doubt that we can equate a 1600 to a 45 mcat. I know some folks who got a 1600, and I don't think they'd get a 45. I mean, 1600 means you get all the mid-level difficulty questions on the SAT correct, but hardly anyone can get all the questions on the mcat correct. it's just too broad a scope, with random questions and sometimes weird questions or answers.
/rant
well that's stupid of them. i don't think sat matters at all. i preferred act anyway.
youare right, i was just asking because VCU apparently compares your mcat score to your sat, my sat was 1160 i think...but i went into the test not caring, i only took it because i was forced to so i was just like CCCCCCCCCCC trying to gtfo of there as fast as possible to get home...i didnt even go to college after HS. And my mcat is only average, so VCU is going to screen me out just based on SAT performance becuase it shows a pattern with my mcat, which is why i asked. Its stupid that they are going to equate my failure in HS to what ive done after that...i guess they dont think its opssible for people to change their lives and not screw around
/end rant 😛
ahah sorry i was just ranting becuase the whole sat thing irritated me that they compare it to mcat. This whole process just makes me pessimistic 🙁.25 mcat is average, according to aamc...your score is easily a SD above average (not sure about exact numbers, it might be more than that)
how do you know what VCU is gonna do? you really need to start giving yourself some credit here...you are getting screened secondaries, from UC schools no less! adcomms are seeing something in you, so stop bagging on your accomplishments so much (your pessimism makes people like me with worse numbers than you feel like crap!)
