Long time ago. I remember we were talking about cute and cuddly things, and Yoda was confused as to why, as a girl, I wouldn't like the tarsier. It's jsut so creepy. Look at it's hands.

Mardi Gras party thing today (yes, it's not Mardi Gras season, but this stuff goes on all year around here). Gotta get all pretty and wear my crown.

This is not a choice. It's my queenly duty to throw a party for the members of the Mardi Gras krewe that I am queen of. It's been planned for a long time. It's not a real party though. It's a bunch of old people talking amongst themselves, drinking, eating, and telling me that I am the most beautiful queen ever since my parents are paying for this whole thing. It's always the same. :laugh:

Has anyone received any interview invites yet?

A lot of people are getting interviews at UT-Houston for July 24. I'm getting nervous now. 😳

Outside of TX schools, no ones getting an interview unless they have kissme stats at this stage in the game. Schools like pittsburgh, michigan (maybe others too) give auto invites to peeps with like 3.9 and 37+ MCAT scores. The earliest any of us should be hearing from schools is near the end of this month, it seems some schools like rochester start to invite their 1st set of applicants for sept/oct dates.

this is a real squirrel. this actually happened. like 3 blocks away from where i took the pic of the fat squirrel. i think all the squirrels in my college town were on drugs or something.

i was driving and saw this guy running around- amazingly, i had my camera with me so i pulled over and chased him around. the most amazing part is i had actually seen a squirrel with an ear corn in the neighborhood a couple weeks earlier, but he went by so fast i wasn't sure if i really saw what i thought i did! the fact that it happened again when i had my camera was a true miracle.
 
haha i do like that squirrel too! the other day when i was driving home i saw a black bear lumbering across the highway. by the time i took my cell out to snag a pic i only grabbed his stubby tail disappearing into the thicket 🙄 i love real animal encounters! but with cool animals. not crows and ****...yuck

cause my committee letter isnt supposed to be released till the end of this month 😡

I have no clue. the process is sometime random too. This guy has a 4.0 and 40 MCAT and didn't get an unterview at UTH yet.

do you have ties to TX?

not exactly. i grew up in dallas but then moved up to NY. i still have a lot of family friends in dallas/austin. i mentioned this in my UT SW secondary

yeah...I saw a pack of deers at night near this rehab place that my grandma used to stay. I flashed them with my high beam and foglights. it's cool to see the "deers in headlight" look. :laugh:

oh my goodness . . . i would $hit a brick if i ever saw a bear in real life. where are you from???

i think i am going to try to google a map of bear habitat distribution and then get rid of all the schools on my list in bear-ritory.

haha! im actually from upstate NY but this summer im working at dartmouth in hanover, NH. the bear looked like a teenager...kinda on the smaller size. bears are actually rather cute in person, even the big ones. you just dont wanna get them mad!

where are you from?

You know that feeling when you've just eaten a huge meal, and your belly becomes uncomfortably round and you don't feel like doing anything other than watching TV? That's how I feel right now. I'm so full. 👍
 
what a dilemma, should i work on one of my higher tier schools that is non-rolling (Duke) or one of my lower tier schools that is rolling (Georgetown)...
