UCSF is the bane of my existence. It's driving me insane. I have yet to find one two other in-state students that didn't get a secondary by now.

In other news, with Boston's weather going from 65 to 85 to 70 and from cold to hot and humid to thunderstorms and floods, my immune system has given up on me and left me with a godawful sore throat, swollen lymph nodes, and a fever. Hell yeah!!!

I didn't. I have decent stats, too.
 
so i got an email from AMCAS to update me of my letter status. I'm all excited- they got my committee letter! right?

no. they were just sending me an update that my status is still "Not Received." . . . Thanks. what was the point of that? 🙄

Oh well, at least I don't really have to start worrying about my unsubmitted secondaries until my letters get there.

How long would you guess it would take for AMCAS to process my letter sent electronically from Interfolio this morning? A few hours? A few days? A week? It's the last letter I need to be complete at a whole bunch of schools, so I really want it to get on there soon...

from virtualevals, it took AMCAS 24 hours to process my committee packet. i assume it would be similar with interfolio, maybe?

I thought someone once said the turn-around was 3 days...but I might have dreamed that...😴😴
 
Well I hope you all are having a good morning... I got woken up by ~8 police and CSI people pounding on my doors. Someone was supposedly stabbed on my porch sometime last night. There was blood everywhere till the FD came and washed it all away.

This is all I could get with my cell phone before they told me to get back inside.

Well I take that back... I went back out to talk to them and this was on the sidewalk

At least we know what it is now... Some idiot down the street was drunk, punched through a window, and decided to come chill by my house before almost dying at the hospital.

His stats aren't on there... I remember this. But yeah, search a 3 on the MCAT and one of the schools who applied to with the least number of applicants.

Holy crap!
My boyfriend's father is a Dr with his own practice and they had a break in last year so they assumed someone was after drugs. Turns out it was just some drunk college kid who had no clue where he was, broke the glass door and then passed out bleeding on the floor.

I JUST SUBMITTED MY AMCAS!! YAY!!! i feel great!.. even though Im far behind most of the people in here.. I see some are already getting interview invites! Congrats!!.. But it sure feels good to get that primary in 🙂

+1. If you need to get the blood stains off, I'd suggest FOLEX cleaner. That stuff works miracles.

my company just sent out some discounts on computers...salivating over the new machines that're actually semi-affordable now...if I wasn't giving my life savings to AMCAS et al. that is 🙄

desktops w/ 21" monitors/4MB ram/640 GB HD/etc. for $650...so pretty!!!!!

Intel® Core™ Duo T4200 ( 2GHz 800MHz 1MB ) -- not great, but not terrible. They also are selling 160mb netbooks starting around 320.

it's a friends and family discount--y'all can PM me if you're interested. I think I get 50 machines a year.
 
For one of my activities, I put current as the end date on my app...think its a big deal if i quit it now? I hate this particular activity i do lol, i kinda want to drop it and find ones im actually interested in, not just ones i have to do to get into med school. I also wrote that I would be current until like dec on some of my 2ndaries...its only one activity i want to drop though. Is it a big deal? Or should i just go to the activity like 1 day a month just to stay current so i dont get kicked out?
