yea, keep in mind they haven't even seen him workout yet. he may be slower or something. they dont kn ow wha he can do.
 
yea eagles came out of no where, it was looking like a battle between steelers/redskins/bills/cowboys. reports were that the bengals offered 2x the money eagles did but mike refused

i bet they made him already, and he was just locked away in the game or as a FA. i dont think you can leave him out of the game, he was never kicked out of the NFL, just suspended.

run with westbrook 1st down
mcnabb screens and flares to westbrook on 2nd down/run
vick on 3rd and 4th down/play-action run out/sneak/go deep to desean

+ app to take courses (penn makes you write 2 essays) as an employee
+ 2 papers i have to draft
+ other things in life

its not bad but im just getting nothing done.
 
alright. applying for only two positions wasn't getting me anywhere. the one I want is being really slow in responding, after I followed up and it turned out my application hadn't even made it to their office. wtf is up with that?

instead, I sent my CV to the head of a big neuro program last night, and today I get two emails from people asking me to work in their lab. I like this a lot better 🙂 Too bad they're all downtown. Taking the train every day would be ew.

what city are you in? i take the train to work every day and it's nice... i do a lot of reading.

Every Sunday, I drive 4.5 hours to DC, work for the week, then drive 6 hours back to Raleigh on Friday. Thursday if I'm lucky. Traffic = une femme chienne

It's a temporary client engagement -- at least it was. Now entering my 13th month. 🙄

I really just love my home state. Hoping I can find a consulting gig in RTP soon :xf:

i have a very minor but fun crush on this east european post doc from a lab that we collaborate it

i'm the only person from my lab that talks to her and i dig her accent

today is her last day before going back to europe. shes dropping off some peptides before she leaves for good.

i have nothing to do for rest of the day. i have an ER shift from 11 PM to 7 Am. should i go back home, nap, gym. or should i stick it out for a 30 second good bye

how long do you have to wait? I think it'd be worth it to stick it out, and it'd make her feel appreciated as she leaves the lab. but I also go to bed wicked early whenever possible 😴
 
So after my Xbox has been down for ~3 months, I sent it into Xbox to get repaired. I received an email from Xbox on Friday saying my XBox was fixed and shipped out.

After spending 2 HOURS!!! at UPS I finally picked-up my Xbox, took it home and removed it from the box only to find that my Xbox was jacked. It was mangled in the box, with a note attached from Xbox, "We're sorry, your damages are not covered under warranty... NOT REPAIRED..." WTF!!! I was furious!!

My Xbox was shipped in perfect condition, minus the red rings of death, now it's mangled, most likely thanks to some dumb ass technician at Microsoft and I'm out 1 Xbox and some serious Madden time... :bang::boom::bang:

The first one is just how baseball works. A hit means you got on base (not that there aren't other ways to get on base).

The second has to do with when to assign errors and when not to. I'm not quite following what you've written, but generally if you ground a ball through the gap into the outfield you'll get a hit, unless it went through somebody's legs or something, in which case it will be an error. You don't get credit for errors because they wouldn't have been hits in most situations.

You can get an infield hit though. If you launch the ball on a line drive at the short stop and he can't get it, that will usually go as a hit because it would have taken a crazy play to get the out.

Dude!!! You should stick it out, take her out for a couple of your drinks and then back to your place for a quick romp! She won't think twice about it, because she's leaving. Plus, if she's not into it then you don't have to live with the humiliation/embarrassment, because she'll be gone!

Just had a major "D'OH" moment:

I've talked a lot about collaboration in my secondary apps -- and I've discussed it by mentioning "integrative" approaches to medicine.

today, someone talked to my editor *cough* mom *cough* about Integrative Medicine, a combination of alternative, kum-bay-a medicine and mainstream medicine. NOT what I had in mind when I used that word...

here's hoping I sound like I've got a degree in English rather than one in Accupuncture and herbal tea 🙄

PS--not meant to offend anyone who loves alternative med. I just don't like being misunderstood. As you can probably tell, I have a mild case of foot-in-mouth syndrome 🙂

Nah, I think the word "Integrative" is fine as long as you used it in methods based context.

Dude, you shoulda stuck it out. You never know what can happen. The best situations like that are the ones that are unexpected (and frankly a lot of them are).
 
yea i pussied out 🙁 4-6 PM traffic from philly to NJ = 2 hours on the bridge (friday night atlantic city crowd)

gonna go to the gym (probly skip the nap) eat and head the the ER


hopefully theres some naked chicks there
